“I feel like Batman in the 2008 superhero film, “The Dark Knight,” who took the blame for Harvey Dent, so that good would prevail over evil.”
But it doesn’t. It’s a lie, right?
Evil is hidden and justice is subverted and the good-guy gets the blame.
But at least the city doesn’t burn in the rioting.
Maybe you’re just NOT EQUIPPED to watch movies or television with a moral message.
“I've been labeled as “the enemy” by many churches, for simply mashing on toes with THE TRUTH!”
And lying.
You can’t forget the lying.
SAYING you’ll stop being a problem, PROMISING, even, and going on being the exact same problem, that’s not what Batman would call heroic.
EITHER take a stand for what you know is the truth, or take the truth that the church you belong to offers.
“Kindly, if the shoe fits, wear it!"
Scroll back up a bit.
You’re talking about a movie where BATMAN is now wanted by the police for TWO_FACE’S crimes. That’s not wearing the fitting shoe.
“Harvest Baptist Church is Harvey Dent (aka, “Harvey Two-Face” Dent), who've been corrupted by evil.”
But have they lied to YOU, Davey?
“I'm Batman, trying to rescue them from the grip of darkness,”
But willing to lie to do it?
That’s not preserving THE truth, just YOUR truth.
Not the same thing.
Gotham is full of people who want everyone to believe THEIR truth… Joker, Poison Ivy, Penguin…
“the real hero who has been made out to be the villain.”
But YOU face actual consequences for things YOU ACTUALLY DID.
Not even slightly like Batman who worked with the police right up until the manhunt for an innocent man…
“ Pardon my illustration, but I think it is pretty good.”
It’s a smiley of a devil. I’ve seen better art on bathroom walls.
