The Atheist mention 9/11 and religious memorials. When it got down to the nitty gritty inside those towers 99.99999% of people had to have been praying to God. Like so many other things when the preverbal crap hits the fan is when so called atheist are asking for God's help. Which is what we should all do all the time obviously.

Okay... Right, you can believe whatever you want about human nature, but:
The praying REALLY didn't help, did it?
It's in our culture and it's all we know. That doesn't make it true.
I admit to praying to God during an extremely stressful hour. It didn't really help with the stress, although I will say that I got what I wanted in the end.
Ummm, Ok,,,, let's assume there was only ONE person not praying. 99.99999% represents 1 in 10 million. I sincerely doubt there were 10 million people inside those towers. What you're telling us, is that the prayers of 99.99999% of people were NOT answered? Just why is it obvious to you that we should spend all our time praying, when only one 10 millionth of prayers MIGHT be answered?
If I were in the Towers I wouldn't have prayed.
The strange thing about fundies is that in case of accidents the first thing they do is pray.
One told me about how he was riding his bike ridiculously fast and he fell off of it. Inexplicably, for that second in which he was in midair, he set his mind to praying . How does that happen? Is that even possible?
The old "no atheists in foxholes" fallacy. There are plenty of atheists in foxholes. Army chaplains have their work cut out for them if they want to keep the faithful, faithful. Many are in that situation, with bullsts flying over their heads and their first reaction is, "No god who loves me as a father would put me in this kind of situation." Likewise, most on 9/11 would have been more concerned with living through the day, and not believing a loving god would take close friends from them in such a horrific way.
Really, atheists think "No God that loves me would put me in this situation?"
So... They're blaming their misfortune on God rather than the humans that caused it, that's nice.
@Mitch: I think he is talking about believers here. And why army chaplains have a hard time...
@JonG: you are right. They weren't praying, they did everything to get out as soon as possible.
The Atheist? Is there only one? Then what are you people so afraid of?
It's "proverbial" and I think one usually say that shit, not crap, is hitting the fan.
In a case of dire straits you will do just about anything to get out of it. Why not try to send a prayer to the imaginary sky-daddy? It probably wont hurt. But in this case it certainly didn't help, did it?
"inside those towers 99.99999% of people had to have been praying to God"
Yeah. And those people in the WTC told you themselves, right? Remember what they say about those who assume? They make an ASS out of U, not ME.
The Atheist is a super villian you see. He/she makes you gay, aborts your children, and takes away your freedoms. And Atheist isn't asking for God's help, He/she is using his/her super powers to avoid all the preverbal crap.
Yeah, everyone was praying and God, well, he didn't really oblige, did he?
Even without the million to one ratio this is stupid. You're a RaptureReady puppet, you people believe Jews are in control of most the money.
That's bullshit, but hey! Here's some reality: Jews and Islamics and Wiccans died in this event. So much for your numbers. And Atheists don't get real religious on their ends, in fact we'd at least try to get out ourselfs or even help others on the way.
You think Heavens there for them, so leave them to Gods graces
As much as you Rapturites try to claim the noble, helpful ways you always abondon even your own to "Gods will" EVERY time.
That being said. The survivors know and the rest of us can only imagine. My condolances to the dead, their families and the responders.
Did God hold up the towers until people could get out of them? Did he magic in air-bags to stop the rubble from killing people? Did he stop the electricity from short-circuiting? What did God do to help all those people frantically begging for his help?
Nothing? So, when it got down to the nitty gritty it didn't matter what you did; you died anyway, right?
Confused?
