This is pretty much the direct opposite of reality. You know why certain power hungry people (not only religious once though) will always put restrictions on sexuality once they gain power in their society? Because it's something that most of us enjoy and are biologically driven to do. We can't help it. And just like advertisement using this to sell products, these people will use the shame of not being able to follow these strict and useless rules to control the masses. It's happened before, it will happen again. These are the people constantly going on and on about the minutiae of gay sex to slander it for example. Nice to see that you Adam are such a useful idiot for them.
Also: you might be an even worse caricaturist than Bronco, and that is saying something.
Nice strawman you've got there, Addie.
It's more like; Kim and Jan want to get married. If they are one man, one woman, fundie Christian have no problem with it. If they are two men or two women, fundies start bleating about gay sex being pushed into their faces, gay sex being icky, gays fornicating/wanting to pervert marriage, gay, gay, gay, gay.
What do they think man and woman are doing? Isn't that pushing straight sex into your faces, straight sex being icky...?
I will admit to being mildly obsessed with sex, but only the sex I hope to have. I'm live and let live with pretty much everything else.
Meanwhile religious fundies are obsessed with the sex they imagine other people are having and demand that everyone stop.
Why does this idiot always draw transwomen as bearded bald men when transwomen actually try to look like....well....women?!
He doesn't even draw them as "ugly men in drag", he just draws an old bearded bald guy. He's doing it ALL WRONG!
Now, who's drawing the cartoons about sex? And no, we're not obsessed with sex, just resisting the Bedroom Police.
@SpunkiKitty
LOLOL!
You know, I'd ask if that guy is really that lacking in self-awareness, but having read the other "comics" posted here, it's obvious that he is. After all, it's easy to think you're smart when you exclusively argue against strawmen.
Look, I admit I think about getting laid a lot. Not obsessing about it, mind you, just fantasizing about the kinds I'd like to have. But that's where I keep it, in my thoughts. You fundies seem to love projecting (loudly) your own depravity onto others because you are unable to cope due to your inane beliefs.
This guy gets more infuriating with each new "comic".
I admit, I throw my politics into my comics more than a little bit. But somebody slap me if I get this bad. My Reverend Starch strawman is a thousand times more fleshed out than Mr. Culture here!
More and more I'm seeing articles where the author has noticed this about fundies. The Kim Davis hypocrisy opened many eyes, despite her life being with multiple men and repeatedly unfaithful she was holding herself up as a paragon or righteousness.
There's a definite trait in fundamentalism and it boils down to this: It doesn't matter what they did or STILL DO, because their with Jesus, as Christians it's their duty to condemn others. Others should live under their churches edicts, they on the other hand,,,.
@Kid Cthulhu
At least your comics, regardless of whether one agrees or not, makes a good point about how many of these fundies act. One especially comes to mind where a girl is being rather mean spirited and complains everyone is against her. Or the one where she is, again, preaching and a Satanist or luciferian sets her straight which catches her off guard. Trust me I was in a debate with a fundie some time ago, and when I basically proved him wrong on my having read the Bible, he ended up saying it was with a closed heart I read it.
@Canadiest
I have been seeing their hypocrisy since I was a teen in 90s. It is nothing new, it is just much more noticeable now. But it has always been there
It's a bit of a false comparison to have, on one side, a Christian guy representing an actual person, and on the other an anthropomorphic personification of what you think "culture" is. Nobody says or does anything remotely like the "culture" guy. Instead, the other fellow sees the collective behavior of everybody else as somehow sending him that message, and then responds, presumably to whoever is nearby, with his explicit opinions about everybody else's sexuality.
So really, in that story, you have a guy sort of hallucinating about sex, then sharing an opinion about sex that nobody asked for.
Sounds pretty obsessed to me.
Says the guy who just wrote a comic about sex.
Seriously, who was up in arms recently about which bathroom people use? Who's always offended at what they see in movies or on TV? Or in Taylor Swift songs?
Trust me I was in a debate with a fundie some time ago, and when I basically proved him wrong on my having read the Bible, he ended up saying it was with a closed heart I read it.
Scientologist argument; you cannot comprehend the truth because you're not properly PREPARED when you read it! Here's a hammer.
@Canadiest
It doesn't matter what they did or STILL DO, because their with Jesus, as Christians it's their duty to condemn others.

Josh Buggar, Adam Fnord.
NEXT!
Here's how it works, Adam.
The Atheist makes a reasoned argument about how sex is OK, and people should do it a lot. The christian disagrees, and says that sex should be saved for marriage. Both sides talk it out, and realize that the other side has a good point, and decide that each person should decide for themselves, with both sides being wiser for it.
Then another Christian barges in and shouts at the atheist for daring to voice his opinion, and not living to some strange law set that barely resembles christian doctrine. He decided long before that the atheist has no interest talking to anyone, and thus learns nothing new, and his deeply flawed beliefs go on unchallenged.
Take a wild guess which person is doing it wrong, Adam.
Next time, on Adventures in Straw World...
@Kid: Hey, at least Starch is a real character with an actual personality!
@DarkPhoenix
I'm checking out that site. Fascinating stuff written from a reasonable Christian perspective about the mindset of the extremists and nuts.
********
And again; What's with the "Bald Bearded Guy as Transwoman" thing? Is the artist so lazy that they couldn't be bothered to make their strawman an "Ugly Man In Poor-Drag" stereotype.
The crappy cartoon with the poorly rendered restroom did the same. It just showed a bald man with a mustache takin' a wizz.
WHY?!
Confused?
