“If I had undeniable evidence for God, I wouldn't be an atheist, now would I?” Francesco Cimmarrusti
This gentleman has highlighted the issue with atheism. They have undeniable evidence, and yet they still profess the foolishness of atheism. There’s a reason for that. First, here’s the undeniable evidence:
1. Creation: The incredible order of Nature, from the atom to the universe. It is scientifically impossible for Nature to have made itself, and it is also scientifically impossible for it to be eternal. There had to be an uncreated First Cause.
2. Conscience: The existence of the God-given, society-shaped conscience. The conscience (“with” “knowledge”) intuitively tells us that we are moral beings, separate from the animals, and therefore responsible to God.
3. Commandments: Our conscience (the “work of the Law” written on our hearts) independent of our will tells us that we have violated the Ten Commandments—showing us that we are sinners, heading for Hell.
4. Conversion: In a moment of time any “atheist” can come to know the God he only knows about, by obeying the gospel. But they refuse to because they love their sin.

1. So many strawmen compacted into that one line. While we don't know what came before the Big Bang, and I fully admit that science may never know, it is a massive leap from an unknown first cause to "6000 years ago, the tribal deity of Israel cast a conjuring spell to create everything".
2. There is nothing about the conscience that cannot be explained by natural psychology. I particularly love how Ray admitted that the conscience is shaped by society.
3. So the tribes of North America intuitively knew they had violated commands of Yahweh Sabbaoth, the war god of Israel and Judah? Yeah. Sure.
4. So, confirmation bias. If you mentally and emotionally manipulate yourself into believing that incomprehensible nonsense is true, you will feeeeeeeeeeel that it is true. I have yet to see Ray or any of his followers explain how their "knowing Jesus" is any different from the countless known methods of psychological manipulation.
1. What if nature is uncreated? Comfort's mind explodes
2. How exactly does conscience prove God?
3. My conscience doesn't tell me anything about Ten Commandments. Are you saying I have no conscience?
4. "I know about God, therefor God exists, because Scripture"? What kind of logic is that? I'm not sure if this even qualifies as Insane Troll Logic.
I have a conscience that lets me know when I've violated some of the Ten Commandments, but considering I've never killed, committed theft or adultery, that pretty much leaves me with lying as a commandment breaker that is simply a good idea, not just pissing in the face of your God.
Which, to me, speaks less about the validity of the Bible (commandments about offending God's fragile ego before making sure we don't screw each other over?) and more towards a common law innate to all humans as social creatures.
Nature is ordered in the same way the hunger games are, eat or be eaten, fight or flight, and try to breed before you die a horrific death at the jaws of a predator or the toxins of a disease.
Praise God.
We DON'T have undeniable facts, silly Bananaman. That's why we profess the rationality of atheism.
1. Isn't it even more scientifically impossible for a god to have made itself? The order is not incredible, and even if it were, you might even expect that after 14 billion years of getting-into-order. Nature is not eternal; the sun will expand in about 2 billion years, and swallow Earth and all the other planets.
2. Sure, we can see how moral the beings in the Daesh, the Al Qaeda, the Taliban , the Inquisitions, the Crusades, the WBC, the KKK, the Lord's Resistance Army, etc, are.
3. Ask the Daesh if their conscience tells them that they have violated the Ten Commandments. Prepare to duck and run
4. In a moment of time, any "religionist" can come to know the reality, by observing it. But they refuse to because they love their comfy fairy-tales.
So, when are you going to present that undeniable evidence? It clearly can't be those four points, as each and every one has been refuted many, many times.
1. That order of Nature, with all its dead ends and blind allies, red in tooth and claw.
2. We are indeed moral beings. And that can be seen with atheists as well as it can with Christians, many of whom act in a way that seems rather less than moral.
3. How does the Ten Commandments start? "I am the Lord your God who took you out of Egypt" - that rather suggests that, if you're not Jewish, they don't apply to you. And, hand on heart, I can't say I haven't seen you bear false witness.
4. So affirming something is the same as it being true? I'll let you in on a secret: power companies hate this...
1. Creation: The incredible order of Nature, from the atom to the universe. It is scientifically impossible for Nature to have made itself, and it is also scientifically impossible for it to be eternal. There had to be an uncreated First Cause.
1. What ceated God and 2. the universe is an uncreated first cause.
"4. Conversion: In a moment of time any “atheist” can come to know the God he only knows about, by obeying the gospel. But they refuse to because they love their sin."
Or maybe because bananas give them nightmares.
Lol, you think your "conscience" is undeniable evidence of theistic existence?
You are merely animals with a superiority complex, you think you are moral because you follow the rules that you created.
This is simply the human mind believing they are above all other species. Just as many deem that animals dont have souls but HUMANS, oh humans are the righteous caretakers of morality!
I accept creation Ray. However I believe it's the result of the Programer of the Infinite or what ever a Deist wants to call the Creator. I doubt the bible or any man made book could be divinely inspired and not that we are creations.
Same with a Conscience, it's a program by the creator.
Now as for the commandments, thing is they are unneeded if we are given a programed conscience. If we already know what is right and wrong already know in out heart and souls when something is harmful then we don't need those things pointed out to us.
Conversion, now Ray I believe that faith only salvation is used by people so they can sin all they want with out fear of consequences. After all if they are already saved, changed by the holy spirit and all their past and future sins are already forgiven then they have in their mind's a git out of hell free card and can sin with out consequence.
These four things do not prove that the Bible is anything more then a collection of stories created two thousand years ago for the purpose of controlling others. Just because it claims to be divine and makes vague predictions that are near impossible to be wrong does not mean it truly is divinely inspired.
if conscience is evidence for god, then the (apparent, judging by their behavior) existence of conscience in non-human animals might as well be evidence for non-human gods. especially since non-human species appear to have (sometimes subtly, sometimes blatantly) different ideas of "conscience" than we do.
dogs display behaviors indicative of shame, guilt, pride, and other things which in humans are related to "conscience" --- but it's just as clear that a dog's concept of "good behavior" and "unacceptable behavior" is not the same as ours is. hence, canine-god has issued different commandments than human-god.
"It is scientifically impossible for Nature to have made itself"
Nature makes itself every day, you know, naturally. How do you know it is impossible for it to have made itself? Are you claiming you're omniscient and know everything that could be possible or impossible? Were you there?
"and it is also scientifically impossible for it to be eternal"
How do you know this? How do you know what can be eternal and what can't? Are you eternal? Have you seen the end of time to see what is there?
"There had to be an uncreated First Cause. "
Why does there need to be a "First Cause"? Why does the "First Cause" need to be uncreated?
No god is needed to explain the existance of the universe.
Conscience is not unique to humans, and there's no reason to believe that it isn't a product of our neurology
The first 3 commandments are pointless, then next 7 are not unique to Abrahamic theology. Basic empathy is all that's needed for them.
How the fuck are conversions evidence? If we're going by numbers than atheism must be more true than christianity.
None of those things are evidence, or even strictly true.
He reminds me of the stereotypical naked savage on a remote island, simultaneously baffled and terrified of a cell phone or a ball point pen. Uh, Roy? Science is real, y'know. Because you don't understand it doesn't mean that goddidit.
Idiot.
If something can be denied (at least within reason), it isn't exactly undeniable. Also, your stereotypical naked savage on a remote island would be much smarter than Ray Comfort. So is soap scum, come to think of it.
"They have undeniable evidence"
Did you miss the part where the guy said "IF I had undeniable evidence"? Don't be like that one other motherfucker who thinks the sentence starts halfway through and ends after three words.
"But they refuse to because they love their sin."
Being an atheist does not mean someone is looking for any and every excuse to be as immoral as possible, it simply means they do not believe in God. People can have decent morals without believing in a higher power, just the same as people can believe in a higher power and be just as horrible a person as your average strawman atheist. Accept it, get over it, have a banana and find something else to do with your life.
...Ray, even if (big if) you manage to prove the universe had an intelligence behind it, you'd still be nowhere close to proving that intelligence is your specific deity. Dumbass.
Seriously, I don't know what I hate more, his stupidity or his condescending attitude.
1. Neither of those is impossible. Even if they were, the "first cause" need not be your deity of choice.
2. Who says mice don't have consciences? Or octopodes?
3. That's only after religious demagogues push these ideas into you.
4. How would this prove anything you are trying to claim? It's almost as if it were a complete non sequitur.
Am I the only one that noticed Ray didn't finish the thought he was on? (Something he is ridiculously prone to)
i.e. "There's a reason for that. First, here's..."
1) Just no. A completely unsubstantiated claim. A regular assertion of creationists which demands that one thing, their God, can violate the first cause argument they claim is a given.
2)and 3) Conscience is a product of the social animal, not just humans even, and it DOES NOT contain an inherent knowledge of God or Scripture. There's a reason you have churchs Ray and it's to spread and reinforce these beliefs usually forced upon you in youth, without them the myth would have faded or at least be recognized as myth.
4) Non-belief in your myth is not an automatic marker of poor morals even though you love to push the lie. Ray, when confronted, has admitted Atheists can be of high moral standards only to fall back to the assertion we're not as soon as he's out of earshot.
Confused?
