Yes, there should! Just as we don't think children are ready to drive cars, vote, drink alcohol, etc, we also don't think children are ready to have sex.
Society has every right to protect impressionable children from manipulating sexual predators.
Children can't give informed consent.
Okay, I'll just ramble on about this for a little bit, because while this is relevant to the topic at hand, it also explains a lot of other crap I've talked about here and there, really.
I've said, a few times, people could consider me a pedophile. That's really not true. I'm not attracted to young girls, I'm attracted to the IDEA of young girls. (YoungER, to be fair! I'm talking about at least, 13 and up, in my mind, okay?). Happily, I've met a few women who were happy to indulge me in fantasies along those lines. One of which whom, was quite pleased to call me "Daddy" while I called her my "daughter'. (RIP.)
With all that said, that's still just effing wrong!
Fuck you. Kids can't consent to sex with adults. Even if they understand what sex is, the power dynamics are too heavily skewed against them, meaning they can easily be manipulated or coerced into doing something they are not ready for.

Yeah, I know that 13 is still a child. I was talking about an age-limit to something that is nothing but a fantasy in my head that I have on occasion, engaged with with other people. Ever heard of "age-play"?
But science does. It's immoral and unreasonable to have sex with children, because it's cruel. They are not mentally or physically developed enough to give *informed* consent, and don't yet understand the consequences of said sex acts, depending on the age of said child. (meaning they haven't had sex Ed classes). Even if they do know the consequences, it's still wrong, because they're not built for it, and you can cause harm, mentally and physically.
And unless you wish to be eviscerated by child's parents/guardians/family, you'll keep your peepee parts to your Loli porn
