"All non-Christians are morons. Many Christians refuse to say this because they have an evil respect for non-Christian scholars, and a false concept of Christian gentleness."
PROTIP, Vince: calling people evil from the get-go won't win you many converts. Of course, if you just want to reinforce your followers' fortress mentality, then claiming that all non-members of your group are eeeeeeeeevil is a tried and true strategy.
"Thus those who deny that non-Christians are stupid also deny that Christ saves us from both our wickedness and our foolishness."
Careful there, Vince: by that standard, you (and most fundies) are no Christian, as your wickedness and foolishness are both very evident :P
"This implies that we were intellectually sufficient without salvation from Christ"
Yup. I mean, sure, your Messiah-on-a-stick sounds a bit smarter than the average bear (if he actually existed, that is), but he didn't exactly invent anything new. Plus, he got talked into letting himself nailed to a plank so his omnipotent father could have some lulzforgive humanity, so we're not exactly talking about a cerebral titan there.
"and that we needed his salvation only from our sinfulness."
And since sinfulness is pure make-believe, we actually don't need him at all.
"This is a denial of the saving work of Christ, and amounts to blasphemy."
Blasphemy, the perfect victimless crime :P
"God is a steaming asshole!"
See, I blasphemed, and strangely enough I have yet to get struck by some bolt of lightning.
As for Jesus and his "saving work", there is zero evidence that they even existed/took place, sooo...
