“All men are judged since birth.”
By an omniscient being. Who already knew how i’d turn out, and why. What would shape my decisions. Whate evidence would be compelling to me. And the absolute minimum he’d have to do to make me change my mind.
“Atheists and unbelievers reject the pardon of the judgment, that is in Christ.”
Well, I don’t believe your Christ is really the Christ, no.
“I will try a parallel story:”
You mean an analogy?
Warden’s son sounds like an idiot. Some sort of persecution complex?
Is this legal?
“The warden finds that is acceptable in the law.”
I’m already on Death Row, the trials are over. He can’t very well claim to have committed my crimes and those of my fellow inmates. How is this legal?
“They kill his son in your place.”
For the love of Zenu WHY?!
Chances are i’ve been claiming to be innocent the whole time, now there’s an innocent man put to death for no good reason!!
“Some on death row will claim what the son did, and be saved from judgement.”
That’s a gross injustice! I can’t be part of this farce! Anyone who says, ‘Yep, he died for me, i get to go now’ is an amoral fuckstain!
“
“They will say I believe that judgment upon the warden son, and have peace with the warden.”
This is crackers!
“Atheists look at that the work that wardens son did and reject it.”
That’s not serving justice. All the Warden’s Son did was assuage someone’s desire for blood. At BEST He satisfied a need for revenge. You’re god damned RIGHT i reject that death. This is a tragedy! Who PUT these ideas in that poor man’s mind? Is there no mental healthcare in this state?
“Atheists say that is not a bright thing to believe on his son.”
I can speak for myself, thank you, and i’ve said my piece. This only makes sense in a system based on revenge, not justice.
“Atheists say they are not even in prison.”
Wait, is the ‘parallel story’ over? You need to signal. I’m okay with imagining myself in that guy’s place, but now we seem to be in the ‘connect this to your view of my reality’ phase.
And, yes, i have no good reason to think i’m in prison. The whole concept of hell makes no sense to me at all. And this blood sacrifice makes even less.
“And there is no warden.”
Well, looked at how fucked up people who think there IS a warden view the world!
“Why do we need to claim any thing about his son.
So they focus on a system of being good, and keeping the jail house tidy.”
PICK A SIDE! Are we in the analogy or not!?
“When judgment day comes, you will find the warden is not only unimpressed with your good tidy record.”
Again, the warden knows EVERY DECISION I HAVE MADE and what it was based upon. Is he then going to judge me by justice, or by taking his revenge for my not glorifying his glory?
“But he is is a tad upset that you rejected the sacrifice his son personally did for you.”
I never met his son. Just people telling me that this guy did this thing. Anonymous stories collected into a ludicrous book. Adn the stories sound like Florida Man stories half the time.
“The judgment will be carried out, with a firery wrath;”
So…fear. Fear of God is what you offer. Not proof that he exists, or that his word makes any sort of sense in the long run, just ‘better believe or you’ll suffer eternally.’ Because the threat is all you really have to offer. Hoping that anyone who doesn’t believe is scared shitless of your vegengeful fucker.
I’d rather not believe in anything out of fear. Or cringe. That’s how i got through high school and i’m still fucked up from that.
“It will serve as a example to the glorify the mercy of the warden, and a example of what occurs to those who reject his mercy.”
But the only people who will see my judgment will be people who already died, and it’s too late for them to alter their judgment.
So what good is the example? Pure threat and wasted revenge.
This is exactly what drive me from the Church, though. People who concentrate on the suffering i face, whose eyes light up at the mention of wrath, and pain, and the lake of fire. Sick, sick, sick fuckers, championing a system of revenge and meaningless punishment.
