[On why his .500 ball club actively recruits only Christian players]
We had to go to hell and back to know where the Holy Grail is. We went through a tough time and took a lot of arrows.
I don't want to offend anyone, but I think character-wise we're stronger than anyone in baseball. Christians, and what they've endured, are some of the strongest people in baseball. I believe God sends signs, and we're seeing those.

Because we all know no religion other than Christiaity has been persecuted. And, by this douche's logic, they should only recruit blacks and those of the Jewish race, as those are the two most abused races out there.
I wonder if this dipstick realizes that he has just opened himself up to a lawsuit.
Under US government regulations, he cannot bases his recruitment decisions on a person's religious affiliation unless he can prove before a court of law that allowing in people from all religions will have a detrimental effect to the normal operations of his company.
What this means is that if a non-Christian minor league player had wanted to go play with the Rockies but was never scouted, that person could sue claiming discrimination. Heck, depending upon how Monfort defines "Christian," he could have JWs, Mormons, and Catholics suing him as well.

Enough with the metaphors, none of which are appropriate in your case.

I don't wish to offend you either, but it's a good bet that you're wrong.

Mein Gott, not the fucking persecution complex again. Seriously, YOU'RE THE FUCKING MAJORITY! THE WORST THING YOU'VE HAD TO ENDURE FOR THE PAST 200 YEARS IS DEALING WITH THE FACT THAT THE REST OF US DON'T WANT YOUR VIEWS CRAMMED DOWN OUR THROATS!

Being tied for last in your division (as of the morning of the 21st) isn't a good sign.
<<< Man, I can't wait to hear this douche recite the 10 commandments:
Thou shalt not steal second with two outs and a designated hitter up. >>>
Unlikely, as the Rockies play in the NL, where there is no DH. That and with two outs, you'd be more inclined to steal second to get into scoring position. Change that to stealing third with one out (something you might do under other circumstances to get in position for a sac fly, but less likely when you have a good hitter who has a chance of driving you in from second), and you might be right.
