I'm pretty sure that anti-LGBT groups are better funded than pro-LGBT groups. Pro-LGBT groups are just better at getting more bang for their buck.
Not that this matters, anyway. The key to politics is popularity. If your side is becoming increasingly unpopular, then simply throwing more money at it won't help much. (Unless you have no real funding and no real cultural presence at all, but that's not the case here.) It requires a major shift in framing, narrative, or direction. Having a movement leader who grabs the public's attention also helps.

Your problem is that a majority of the Christians have no problem with gays and lesbians, only a small group of bigoted fundies do.
In Sweden, very, very few see themselves as active Christians. Still, no persecution or prosecution of either Christians or fundie Christians (we have them too). The only reaction you'll probably get if you say you're a Christian, is either pity or incredulity. "You mean you ACTUALLY believe that ancient superstition?", something like that.

Katy Perry while she's heterosexual does have the song "I kissed a girl and I liked it" and her bi curious phase which pissed off Christians and the LGBT community. The later thought she was just acting that way for attention which may be true given her upbringing.
