@Zachski
"Mister Spak are literally advocating genocide and wonder why we dislike them?"
You might want to read what I actually wrote. And you wonder why I don't like you.
@The Crimson Ghost
"Mister Spak- I saw this coming a mile away. So predictable."
What I said to Zachski. I saw you coming a mile away. So predictable.
@DarkPhoenix
"They should be removed to, say, a civil war museum, where their statues could be clearly labeled with what they stood for."
That's the plan. They're being stored until a suitable museum can be found for them.
"The mistake the US made with the Confederate states after the Civil War was leaving them to their own devices, which allowed the assholes responsible for the war in the first place to re-seize control and institute Jim Crow."
The US occupied the south for 10 years. The south sabotaged their own economy so the north would get no benefit whatsoever from the occupation. After 10 years the US got tired of pouring money down a rathole and left. That's when jim crow started.
It's like Iraq. The US invaded, took down the dictator, stayed for 10 years at a cost of a zillion $ to "fix" the Islamic culture, and accomplished only draining the US taxpayers of a zillion $. Meanwhile Iraq muslims spent the 10 years killing each other and blowing up their own oil equipment. After the US left ISIS formed. The military occupation of the south followed the same pattern.
The US would have to occupy the south/Iraq for generations with a lethal and expensive and overwhelming dictatorship to fix the problem. After 10 years they got tired of it and left the job undone.
