Being a liberal, I have met a few loony lefties who did connect racism to the last three, true enough. Then again there's always someone who'll insist that the world is secretly controlled by birds.

I am assuming this is referring to single-payer healthcare. In this universe, it is the liberal, leftist political party, the Democrats, who actually want single-payer. They knew there was no way in hell this would happen, thanks to obstructionist tactics from the conservative right party, the Republican Party, so they, with the Democratic President, Obama, compromised to come up with a healthcare plan that is, basically, a federal-level version of a Republican idea and plan, Romneycare, that was implemented at a state level. They are now in the position of defending that Republican idea and plan from attacks by the Republican Party, who have now decided it's a terrible plan, and who want to take things even further away from a single-payer system - which is what the Democrats want.
I do not know what universe the OP is tweeting from, but it certainly isn't this one.
@#2077422: False. The Dems had a supermajority at the time, and could have easily done single payer. They just didn't want to. And even if they needed to "compromise," they should have just run fucking roughshod over the GOP. This isn't an issue where compromise is acceptable.
Although I agree that the Democrats who created Obamacare were guilty of political cowardice, ceding ground even before negotiations began, they never held a supermajority in the Senate.
Yep. They SHOULD have had 60 Senators, but the Republicans intentionally dragged out Al Franken's seating as long as they could (claiming multiple times that the vote count was wrong). And then when he was finally seated, a few months later, Ted Kennedy died and the Republicans held THAT seat open until the 2010 election, when they won the majority back.
That's not even mentioning that senators like Lieberman were Democrats in Name Only and refused to go along with Obamacare period. Him and his Blue Dog caucus is the reason Obamacare ended up not having a public option; they would absolutely have joined with the Republicans to block single payer.

Based Socialist never said that supporting single payer healthcare is nazism, he said that liberals (as opposed to leftists) would call it as such.
Charles "it should be illegal to support BDS" Schumer is having a stopped clock moment. Sarah Lerner has already said in response to this that "Sometimes it's best for men to STFU" in response to Schumer actually displaying some introspection.
