But 'anyone else' is not allowed to teach. It is rational and responsible to prevent people with known problems that might create a risk for the children from being in a position to supervise children.

No, they do not EQUAL actions. But the actions that DO occur, occur BECAUSE of those desires. Without the ability to perfectly predict such behavior, we have to treat the possibility as a threat and hire accordingly.

Pedos don't actually have a RIGHT to be in the company of other people's children, same as alcoholics, anti-vaxxers, drug abusers, sexual predators, etc. So, no, I don't have to 'deal' with that claim.

Well, yes, pedophiles do typically try to get jobs that put them in contact with children. That's understandable. I would love a job helping exotic dancers adjust their costumes before they go on stage, but I'd want that job for all the wrong reasons.
And my NOT BEING HIRED in such a job is not a PUNISHMENT.
Not sure how 'heroic' they are, though, if they're not brave enough to tell their employer the facts of the matter. Seems more like craven cowards.

Well, that's just it. YOU have the uphill climb, trying to get people with this affliction tolerated in target-rich environments. You're not really in a position to say others have to 'deal.' We're not looking for major changes in laws, policies, public opinion, professional evaluations.
