One characteristic of cults is that they strongly believe they alone are right in their beliefs and everyone else is wrong.

Well for a bit more context:
"One characteristic of cults is that they strongly believe they alone are right in their beliefs and everyone else is wrong. Thus they reject the central truths of the Bible that Christians have held in common for almost 2,000 years and substitute their own beliefs for the clear teaching of Scripture."
Shiny mirror award for sure.
Scripture is clear? A first for me.
If anything, humans are clear evidence against the notion of a god. No creature capable of making the universe would make something as stupid as human beings.
Billy Graham is the best evidence against god.
You guys are finally getting it! Geez, it took you long enough.
...wait. You're not talking about yourselves, are you.

I couldn't agree more. Honestly, I couldn't...

I am aware, and if the quote had included that, it would have been a better quote. As it stands, it is only funny to two groups: the people who are willing to check the source and see the context for themselves, and the people who don't care about context and only care that it's being said by someone of religious affiliation who is automatically worthy of ridicule simply for being religious, at least as far as they are concerned.
Personally, the kind of humor that is primarily appreciated by ideological trolls (see second category of people who would find this quote humorous as it stands) is not the sort of thing I appreciate seeing here.
"Thus they reject the central truths of the Bible that Christians have held in common for almost 2,000 years"
Nope not true.
"and substitute their own beliefs for the clear teaching of Scripture."
Scripture is far from clear, why do you think there are so many dingbat interpretations of it?
Thank you, Scooby71, for additional context.
Billy Graham, you would be hilarious if you didn't have the power and influence that you do.
Nah, almost EVERYBODY, cult or not, strongly believe they are right in their beliefs, and those who disagree are wrong. It becomes crackpottery when you're unwilling to consider the possibility you might be mistaken, when you ignore contradictions, evidence, logic and rationality.
That's why Fundies are crackpots, not merely because they think they're right.
I always wonder at the use of the title 'Reverend' After all the only use of the word in the KJV is to describe God.
It's a bit presumptuous to use it of yourself, I'd have thought.
"Does Christ live in your heart, and a priest in your arse?
"The Bible says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12)."
Which was written as a big f off to the Jews at the time, who lets face it, saw what jeebus offered, and passed on the whole smoke and mirrors aspect of it.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
