Indeed. Certainly here in the UK. Because Nick Clegg's Liberal Democrats are the only ones keeping David Cameron's Conservatives in power. The Conservatives had better not do anything to make the Liberals hate them, not if they want that lovely government position, and instead force another General Election, probably resulting in them losing (Cameron's popularity ratings are fairly low already; and he's barely been Prime Minister for two months!).
A definite case of 'who needs whom the most?'
PROTIP: There's two morals here:
1- If Conservatives are 'hated', it's only because of three factors: Everything they say, do and think. Solution: don't be Conservative. Being left-wing won't kill you.
2- 'Liberal' means completely different things. In Japan, the 'Liberal Democrats' are actually Conservative.. And Australia's Liberal Democrats are as right-wing as USA's Repubicans. Oh, and one more thing: here in the UK, 'Liberal' isn't what you think it is. There's the Conservatives (right-wing), Labour (left-wing), and the Liberal Democrats are neither right- or left-wing, but 'middle-of-the-road'.
I hope that clears things up ([/sarcasm]). I know politics can be difficult for the hard of thinking such as you, TOS(ser). Least of all, for the geographically illiterate.
