Are you a skeptical? Be skeptical of atheism!
1. If you are skeptical, then be skeptical of atheism because it teaches you to be satisfied with not understanding the universe.
Atheism doesn't offer solutions or answers.
2. Be skeptical of atheism because it is a loss of dignity and self respect; it teaches you are an animal!
3. Be skeptical of atheism, because if there is a God, it is obvious there is also a bad entity “satan” who will do its best to destroy your life:
atheism is simply a very effective strategy to destroy your life.
4. Be skeptical of atheism, because if there is a Heaven, a Paradise of eternal glory and happiness, atheism leads to all the contrary, eternal death!

Yes, I'm skeptical. It seems a bit pointless to be skeptical of a lack of belief in deities, though.
1. Atheism doesn't teach anything. It's mostly religious people that tell you to be satisfied with not understanding the Universe, to just accept Goddidit.
2. Atheism doesn't teach anything. Scientific evidence shows that you're an animal. Only those who disrespect animals might feel that it's a loss of dignity and self-respect to be an animal. Kinda like those who disrespect women often feel that to be called a woman is derogatory.
3. If there are no gods, there probably aren't any bad entities either.
4. False dichotomy; what if your god is not the one that exists? IF there is a benevolent god or goddess, he or she will probably look to your actions and intentions, and if you have led a decent life, help your fellow humans and animals, and left the Earth a little more sound and healthy than when you arrived, you'll probably reap some kind of reward.
"Are you a skeptical? Be skeptical of atheism!"
1. Skeptic, not "skeptical".
2. Being skeptical of there not being anything is impossible. Skepticism is by defintion a lack of believe that something exists or happend a certain way. Being skeptical of nothing makes as much sense as being king of a vaccuum.
1) Of course atheism teaches me nothing. My other ideology and my interest in science are there for that. "Atheism doesn't offer solutions or answers." means "I'm lazy, so tell my some made up shit so I can not think about those hard questions." There's is humility in knowing that you don't matter and won't understand, it is not a reason to not try.
2) That's not atheism. That's Evolution. And that doesn't just teach that I am an animal, but that we all are, and therefor as I am no different that anybody else, there is no loss of anything.
3) & 4) If there is a god and he or she is good, it will forgive my skepticism, if he or she doesn't, he or she is not good, and therefor no god to be worshiped, but fought.
People are animals. Specifically, apes.
And also, that's a lot of ifs.
1. atheism insists the universe is much more than a week long building project by an invisible sky daddy. It is the ever-evolving culmination of forces that we study to understand ourselves, and simply saying Godidit isn't understanding, it is settling.
2. You give yourself dignity and respect through your actions. In fact, the average dingo has more dignity than someone who will use his intelligence to keep others in the thrall of the invisible sky daddy.
3. AKA Pascal's Wager.
4. AKA Pascal's Wager.
1. If you are skeptical, then be skeptical of Christianity because it teaches you to be satisfied with not caring about getting the answers, because God did it, the Bible said so, and that settles it. Christianity doesn't offer solutions or answers.
2. Be skeptical of Christianity because it is a loss of dignity and self respect; it teaches you to a slave who will spend eternity bowing and flattering an omnipotent, vain tyrant who will damn them to hell if they don't
3. Be skeptical of Christianity, because there is no edvidence that any sort of god exists, let alone their own specific god.
4. Be skeptical of Christianity, because if there is a Heaven it will mean spending eternity with the people like the person who responded to "Answers for atheists."
1. No, not satisfied with not understanding, but not in need of made-up solutions or answers.
2. Knowing that one is an animal does not mean one loses any dignity or self-respect. Perhaps you are confusing self-respect with your inflated ego.
3. As an atheist, I understand that there is no God or Satan.
4. That's like saying that I should believe in the 3 billy goats Gruff because if I don't and it's true I won't be able to cross bridges.
1. Ah, so you can give a lucid explanation of The Trinity that anyone can understand? Or are you satisfied with not understanding LIKE AN ATHEIST?!?
2. So, you don't believe that humanity is made up entirely of damned sinners, devoid of real dignity or respect, who can do nothing good on their own? Then you are ignoring the central premise of Christianity and YOU MUST BE AN ATHEIST!!!
3. Isaiah 45:7 says that god makes peace and creates evil. If you are denying the truth of the bible then YOU MUST BE AN ATHEIST!!!
4. Romans 9:19-23 explains how salvation and damnation are the result of god's decisions, not human belief or action. If you deny what the bible says then YOU MUST BE AN ATHEIST!!!
Clearly the evidence proves that you are an atheist, Answers for Atheists. Or are you skeptical of that assertion?
"1. Atheism doesn't offer solutions or answers."
Correct. It simply states "I do not believe your claim of a god or gods." Science is what provides us with answers.
"2. ... it teaches you are an animal!"
Are you claiming to be a vegetable? There's many here that won't contradict you. Also, that's not a claim that atheism makes.
"3. ...if there is a God, it is obvious there is also a bad entity 'satan'...”
IF
"4. <Pascal's Wager>"
No. Just stop it.
"3. Be skeptical of atheism, because if there is a God, it is obvious there is also a bad entity “satan” who will do its best to destroy your life:
atheism is simply a very effective strategy to destroy your life."
1- Be skeptical.
2- God, Satan. Both sides of the same fiction coin.
3- ?????
4- 'If. ' [/Spartan Laconic Wit] Spartans. The earliest skeptics, nay, cynics .
"if there is a God, it is obvious there is also a bad entity “satan”
Oh, I see, you're a Zoroastrian.
1. Be skeptical of religion, because it claims to know everything for certain, and threatens you if you question it.
2. Be skeptical of religion because rather than the most advanced form of life currently inhabiting this planet, it teaches you that you are an unworthy thought-slave made of dirt.
3. Be skeptical of religion, because it teaches that you are at the mercy of a malevolent and power-mad supernatural dictator, who breaks all of his own rules, commits all the evils he is supposedly against, and then demands that you praise him for it, lest he turn his maliciousness on you.
4. Be skeptical of religion, because if their is a Heaven, it is filled with mindless sycophants forced to eternally kiss the ass of their beloved deity who, at any time, could instantly forgive and make holy those he has damned, but chooses not to because he'd rather watch the innocent suffer while the gullible jerk him off.
Amusing, dribbling moron, oozing dignity and self respect, much? How is it possible that anyone could be skeptical of Answers for atheists?
His or her nickname is somewhat misleading as it is really meant to be, and should be, Drivel for numpties.
1) Actually, one of the biggest points to skepticism IS to be able to accept "we don't know" for an answer. Realizing that while it may not be satisfying, it's better than just believing any old answer.
2) What's wrong with being an animal? I've seen some other animals who act more dignified than some human animals. And you ARE an animal whether you like it or not. You're a mammal, chordate, and a eukaryote who develops ass first. Doesn't mean you can't have self-respect and dignity. The only one who controls your self-respect and dignity is you.
3) This is a perfect way to demonstrate the power of skepticism. When someone tries to use fear-mongering to get you to believe the ridiculous such as a cosmic battle between an all-powerful entity and a non-all-powerful entity that somehow hasn't ended yet, you can step back and say "wait, does that even make sense"?
4) This time skepticism can be used to analyze what is essentially a bribe and allow you to ask "does this actually make sense"? To me it makes no sense for a supposedly just being to have only one reward and one punishment no matter what. So if you kill millions or steal a candy bar, you get eternal death. Hell, if you just return the candy bar and say sorry you go from eternal death to eternal bliss. A candy bar is worth that much? Bullshit.
Atheism doesn't offer solutions or answers.
No, that's what science does. Say it after me: "S-C-I-E-N-C-E." It rules, bitches.
The rest of this is just the usual fundie egotism and paranoia.
1. What is this? Opposite day?
2. Since when did one set of beliefs become the only way to be happy? That is bullshit.
3. You need to rexamine your "logic" there (if it can even be called that.)
4. Not all atheists think that (most do though) one of my best friends is an atheist, and she still belives in souls.
"Are you a skeptical? Be skeptical of atheism!
1. If you are skeptical, then be skeptical of atheism because it teaches you to be satisfied with not understanding the universe.
Atheism doesn't offer solutions or answers."
okay, this first point and the fact that you asked if i'm *a* skeptical make it clear that you have no fucking clue what skepticism is, at all. which is why you're a fucking fundie in the first place, i guess (or maybe the other way around).
First, the last two of these aren't necessarily distinctions between theism and atheism. Not all religions feature a Satan figure. Modern Judaism, for instance, doesn't have anything similar to the Christian concept of Satan (there is *a* satan, but it's literally just an adversarial figure in a legal sense, not an evil being). Not all religions teach that there is any consequence for not believing in them, either. Universalist religions believe in an eternal paradise attained by everyone.
The first two are dubious at best. Atheistic explanations for the existence of the Universe are no less reasonable than theistic explanations, and are really more so in most cases (there is no one theistic or atheistic explanation). The idea that man is an animal is found in Christianity, as well, to the point that the scholastic theologians considered man's status as the rational animal to be self-evident. Regardless, if it's true, does it matter if it's dignified?
I want to preface this by saying: of course, be skeptical of atheism. Be skeptical of anything. You don't grow by being complacent, and just blindly accepting what you have always believed.
Now.
1.) Atheism says nothing one way or the other on this. Science, however, is tirelessly trying to discover anything it can about the universe. Science will always question what is known, and challenge it.
2.) We ARE animals, at our most fundamental nature. We're just more organized, and smarter than most. That's not degrading, it's just a fact. If you think that acknowledging that we are animals means we should be flinging poo at each other, that says a lot more about you, really.
3.) That is a huge "if." Why must it be God and Satan? Why not Elysium and Tartarus (Locations as opposed to entities, I know, but the end result is the same. Rough when one guy rules both...)? Or Odin and Hela?
4.) If Paschal's Wager is the best you got, you're floundering. Paschal's wager denotes a 50/50 shot of accuracy. Just factoring in the myriad sects of Christianity, that skews it wildly.
"3. Be skeptical of atheism, because if there is a God, it is obvious there is also a bad entity “satan” who will do its best to destroy your life: atheism is simply a very effective strategy to destroy your life."
If there really was a God, and that God was not a completely dickish asshole then why would he allow Satan to exist?
Why does the existence of a God somehow necessitate the existence of a "bad entity" as you claim? Sure I'll admit that it usually seems to work that way throughout most of the mythological God pantheon, but why?
Has the thought ever occurred to you that maybe that is only because their made up stories would be be pretty short and boring if there wasn't some make believe bad guy involved also?
1. Be skeptical of Christianity because it teaches you to be satisfied with not understanding the universe. It offers no solutions or answers, only "Goddidits."
2. Be skeptical of Christianity because it is a loss of dignity and self-respect, it teaches that you deserve hell for something you didn't do!
3. Be skeptical of Christianity because even if there is no god it is obvious that some people will come up with crazy explanations of how we got here. Christianity is simply a failed explanation of how we got here.
4. Be skeptical of Christianity because if there is a benevolent god, then he will not give you eternal misery if you lead a good life but aren't his cheerleader.
“Are you a skeptical?”
I am skeptical of your English grades, yes.
“Be skeptical of atheism!”
Okay.
“1. …Atheism doesn't offer solutions or answers.”
It also doesn’t CLAIM to offer sollutions or answers, does it? What’s the point of questioning it against something it doesn’t pretend to offer?
2. Self-respect and dignity? I have spent 7 years watching alleged Christains support a lying, cheating, adulterating, draft-dodging, debt-dodging, rapist because their leaders told them to. Atheism doesn’t ask me to submit to a fuckknuckle.
“3. Be skeptical of atheism, because if there is a God,”
Gotta stop you right there. You’re trying to make me criticize ATHEISM based on a belief in a deity. Back up, read that again, slowly.
“4. Be skeptical of atheism, because if there is a Heaven,”
Um, as above.
Confused?
