Wow, you're a jackass, you know that? As an autistic person myself, life wasn't easy for me. Until I was finally diagnosed at age 16, after I got a depression (that I never got out of, BTW), I always wondered what the hell was wrong with me. I never felt like I belonged with others because I was different, and nobody else seemed to understand it. They just thought I was antisocial. Got bullied a lot, and some teachers even said it was my fault for not acting the same as everyone else.
My point is, I know my autism can be useful. I have a lot of desirable traits, such as perfectionism, an ability to greatly concentrate on a single task, honesty to a fault... But thanks to countless people who just fail to accept different people, people like you, I can only see the negative sides of my autism anymore. I have horrible self-confidence and feel like most of my potential got ruined.
But, all in all, I'd still rather be my autistic self than most if not all of the people quoted here. Such as people who think "autism" is merely an insult for people they don't like. I've seen jackasses refer to others in an argument as "autistic screaming", and quite frankly, that's really offensive.
Also, for the supposed "real Sinterklaas", you certainly don't act like one, you a**hole.
You know, it's funny. High-functioning autistic people are merely called that because we are a minority. Has anyone ever considered that maybe the roles could have been reversed? That autistic people are the norm, and the regular ones are the ones who have something wrong with them? Would you like to be treated that way?
After all, autism isn't an illness or a defect. It's just that our brains are programmed differently. Just because an Xbox can't read a Playstation disc doesn't mean it's broken. Both just work differently.
