(in the comments on an article about global warming)
Yes, you are definitely certifiable!!!
What is wrong with the brains of these people? The "data" has been proven to be false and not reliable! The Earth has gone through repeated periods of "climate change"! Since day one of it's existence! EONS BEFORE THERE EXISTED ANY TYPE OF INDUSTRIAL ACTIVITY, OR, ANY HUMANS!
SCIENCE IS NOT DONE, NOR IS IT RELIABLY USABLE BY CONSENSUS!

zeke: "THERE IS NO DANGER!! WE, PARTICULARLY I, CAN GO ON LIVING JUST LIKE BEFORE, NOT HAVING TO CHANGE OUR WAY OF LIFE!!!"
...and the last time that happened, it took many millennia to change that much instead of just a few years, and still many species went extinct. As you say, before humans. I wonder what will "inherit the earth" after we are all gone. I'll put my money on cockroaches and daffodils.
Yes it's changed before, but it's now changing at an unprecedented rate, more in the past 100 years then the past 20,000 years.
We're accelerating climate change exponentially, you twit, not causing it whole-cloth.
And pray tell, by what scientific study was the climate change data proven false? In which scientific publication were these results published? Please enlighten us; we'll wait.
The "data" of the deniers have been proven to be false and not reliable, yes. And yes, the Earth has gone through several periods of climate change, each one including huge numbers of extinctions. The difference now is that it's much more rapid than ever before, that it can be measured within the lifetime of one generation.
What is wrong with the brains of people like you? We are fighting against climate change, because we don't want to be part of the next wave of extinctions. We are also fighting against it, because we like our way of life (on average) and don't want it to change drastically. If you think there are lots of refugees now, just wait until most of today's coast-lands have been drowned, and a lot of today's farmland have become arid stone fields. I kinda hope I have died of old age by then...
You wouldn't recognize science even if it saved you from death-by-smallpox, ze-ze. Ever hear about peer-review, dolt? That's the consensus you're looking for.
I'm with Kanna; cockroaches and daffodils it is.

British Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott linked the global warming issue to Katrina, criticizing the United States' lack of support for the Kyoto Protocol, "The horrific flood of New Orleans brings home to us the concern of leaders of countries like the Maldives, whose nations are at risk of disappearing completely. There has been resistance by the US government to Kyoto - which I believe is wrong."
...and the consequences of said resistance in the US: and not just socially. In both cases, more -than proven.
My former MP (Labour, Hull East). You.
In terms of whose statements - and the mindsets such are based on - are the more credible, therefore have more right to be listened to, my, but that one's a toughie...! [/Doug Piranha-levels of sarcasm]
Confused?
