Do sinners think that their CoeXis bumber stickers impresses God?
It's amazing how many people think their path/s to spuritual enlightenment or whatever. A Christian can't concede to such ecumenical trash because of one famous statement in the Bible:
John 14:6 ) And Jesus saith to him, "I am the way, I am the Truth, I am the life. No man cometh to the Father but by me."
This famous statement doesn't lend itself to reinterpretation by mortal sinners.
So what I want to know is, what is the point of the CoeXis
bumber sticker? Is it supposed to be an order to God, or something. Do people think that He will obey their order/s ?

It's supposed to be in support of all religions (Christianity, Paganism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Baha'i, Judaism, etc.) getting along and respecting/tolerating one another. The word "coexist" is formed out of religious symbols of those faiths, though they differ from bumper sticker to bumper sticker.
The message isn't to any god, you jackass. Not everyone is talking to an invisible man. It's telling you assholes to quit killing each other.
For fuck's sake, who'd think a bumper sticker would be so difficult to comprehend??
"Do people think that He will obey their order/s ?"
Don't you people pray to Him, telling Him to do things?
Wow, yeah, see, anyone who uses that bumper sticker is sending a message to fellow humans. Also? It's a bumper sticker. Let's calm down.
As others have said, this isn't an order to God, it's a request to humans.
And also, yes John 14:6 quotes Jesus as saying that. Doesn't mean it's true. John is the most suspect of all the gospels and that really is quite some achievement.
Hmm, I personally prefer John 3.17
"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
That is a much nicer message. Also, quote mining is fun
@DevilsChaplain
Aye, I see. Thanks alot.
It's amazing how many people think their path/s to spuritual enlightenment or whatever.
It's amazing you can function in today's society with poor grammar skills such as this.
Is it supposed to be an order to God, or something.
1) Again with the poor grammar. Typically, one uses a question mark (?) when asking a question.
2) The coexist message is directed at us humans, not at God. Sheesh, just how dim is your lamp?!
No, it's telling people like you that they have a right t exist, too, so to chill out, take a pill, and mind your own business.
Bumber? What the (bleep) is a bumber? Sounds like something you'd stick on the ass-end of a bee ...
I can't take seriously the ranting of anybody who can't spell "bumPer" or "spIritual". The complete lack of literacy among fundies leads me to believe the 11th commandment must be "Thou shalt not be educated."
Snort.
So, you believe John 14:6 and that everyone who doesn't follow your Jesus doesn't end up in heaven.
Still: SO. FUCKIN. WHAT? What do YOU care that someone else won't end up in YOUR heaven, but in his own?
Get off your high horse and CO-Exist!
It doesn't support anything but peaceful coexistence between people of all religions.
I'm not surprised that it zoomed right the fuck over your head, though.
I much prefer this one

But of course Jesus never meant what he said now did he. Not like Genesis which must be taken as absolute truth.
@ Phaeton
I don't think I'd have a car left if I put that sticker on.
For fuck's sake, are you this stupid? It's not trying to say that all religions are equally valid or something, it's a movement for all the religions of the world to get along and to stop killing and hurting each other, or atleast to leave each other alone.

A bumber is them planes what carry them thar' nukulur bumbs.
@ Old Viking. Bet you couldn't get away with that in Texas, for sure.
Okay, so let's, for the sake of argument, give you "No way to God but through Jesus." What I want to know is: Did Jesus ever say there was only one way to get to him?
I do find it amusing, though...a bumper sticker designed to try and inspire people to put aside their individual differences in faith to at least...well...coexist drives fundies into a frothing rage, screaming that the others are using this as a devious ploy to stomp them out.
Okay, so here's the thing. Not everyone is a Christian. Not everyone would be susceptible to being converted. They are not going the way of "the Father" as it is. So the POINT is to coexist with the people who are different than you and who you can't change instead of fighting them and constantly making them your enemies. Never thought of that, hm? I know this might be difficult to understand. It's okay, just tough it out, cupcake. We're all here for you.
"Is it supposed to be an order to God, or something. Do people think that He will obey their order/s ?"
Well, I suppose it has about the same effect as those fish stickers I see on cars.
Bumper stickers? Ha ha! Only dolts have bumper stickers over here.
"No man cometh to the Father but by me.
What about the women? Is that kinda like the King of the Ring Wraiths (the Witch-King of Angmar) that could not be killed by a man? All women are already with the Father? Right?
The bumper sticker you're so enraged over doesn't mean "All belief systems are equally valid." It means "Leave each other to live in peace."
You live in a world with other people. Most of those people are wholly unlike you. Learn to leave them alone, as long as they return the favor. If your only goal is to render them all identical to you and eradicate every last difference between them, you are the cause of nearly every last atrocity that has ever been committed over the course of human history. Congratulations
What the Coexist bumper sticker is saying is "we may think different things, but we're still stuck on the same ball of mud hurling through nothingness around a tiny dot of-" well shit, I've gone and made myself depressed.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
