I agree it's arguably better for all involved to abort a baby who will be retarded.

That said, I must say I prefer the Religious Right to the Religious Left. Better to have a few retarded people here and there than to have legions of browns and blacks (many of whom are retarded anyway by white standards) running through the neighborhood
