After six months, half the states will effectively be fully autonomous, independent countries, and the other half will collapse into varying degrees of anarchy. Trying to reform the U.S. from that mess will be quite an undertaking.

Last time a shutdown happened, your whole country nearly went bancrupt and was threatening to destabilize the rest of the worlds economy for good just because of the Republicans, their stupid hyperlibertarian hatred for the government and their hate for Obama. And you want a repeat of that? You really are a special kind of stupid, aren't you?

Why do the Repubs want to govern in the first place? They just want to shut everything down and let people mind their own businesses (unless they are women, gay, transgender, dark-skinned, then they should be regulated to within an inch of their lives).

Yes, and then they tried to blame the government shutdown on Obama because he wouldn't repeal Obamacare (as if he had that power in the first place). And then Ted Cruz later tried to claim that he wasn't responsible for the shutdown and was actually trying to pass the budget, even though it is on public record and everyone was well aware of his "Green Eggs and Ham" filibuster.
