I like to see us stop a supernova from happening. That will not happen. I like to see us control mother nature, that is not going to happen either. We cannot prevent Global Warming from happening either. So again, how do you suggest we stop global warming which is a natural phenomena?

I dunno, there's 6 billion+ of us, I believe we could all pull something good off, given the right way of thinking.
One, it´s not a totally natural phenomenon. We could prevent it not throwing gas to the atmosphere. And two, men in the past survived glaciations by being quiet?, NO SIR!!, trying to adapt.
OK, couple of problems here. First of all, global warming, at least in the context being discussed here, is a MAN MADE phenomenon. Secondly, we stop natural phenomena all the time. Whenever we clear land for urban development or agriculture, that's stopping the natural process of succession. Whenever we kick up sediment in shallow water and it blocks out the sun, killing the algae that keeps coral alive, we are stoppping the phenomenon of photosynthesis. And every single time anyone does anything that exerts energy so as to accomplish somthing, we are stopping (or at least impeding) the natural phenomenon of entropy. So please don;t give us any crap about not being able to stop natural phenomena because they're "natural". It's that kind of thinking that will land us back in the stone age.
I hate this sort of thinking. The thing is, to me it doesn't really matter if global warming is man made or not. I think that the evidence suggests that it is, but that doesn't matter; there are plenty of other good reasons to reduce our usage of fossil fuels!
There are so many who act as if man made global warming has been disproved, and then act as if that means that we don't have to take care of the environment in any way..
I actually recently wrote a piece on this.. If anyone happens upon this comment thread and is interested, it is at

Global warming is not a natural phenomena.
Getting that out of the way - this post seems to equate stopping a supernova with stopping global warming. This is the time to break out the order-of-magnitude physics:
Power involved in global warming: ~10^15 W.
Power involved in a supernova: ~10^35 W.
That's right. We have a fail by twenty orders of magnitude .
EPIC FAIL.
Confused?
