Yet who did I see in the queue? Lots of normal, white English folks queuing up to EAT MEAT WHICH HAD BEEN DEDICATED TO THE MUSLIM GOD, ALLAH. I bet not one of these unsuspecting people thought to ask whether their food had been dedicated to a demon prior to consumption.
Not only is Halal produce extremely cruel to the animals, but it is the equivalent of giving Satan a free entry pass to your soul.

Fuck, it's bad enough they're delusional, but when they don't even know the delusions they're supposed to follow, it just pisses me right off.
Halal is for Muslims what kosher is for Jews. Neither has anything to do with blessings or dedications and means they are religiously "fit". If the food meets certain criteria, it is halal. You know, much of food you eat every day is automatically halal. Like vegetables or water.
Um, I remember from sword-sharpening drills as a little girl that it is, in fact, okay for a Christian to eat meat sacrificed to another god. That came up in one of Paul's books. So we're supposed to be living by a book you ain't even read, Garvan? That's nothing new, of course.

With this realization, my friends, I must bid all of you a fond farewell. You'll not see me post here again. I'm getting bored with the same fundie crap over and over again. It just seems like the ignorance, bigotry and arrogance knows no limits or end. Perhaps we were never meant to get along together. Perhaps we were never meant to transcend the evil in the world to a better life for all. Perhaps the world is going to hell in a handbasket and we're just along for the ride. I don't know. What I do know is that since I've been visiting here, I seem to be both angrier and sadder for the human race. I'm tired of fighting what I perceive to be a stalemate. Therefore I leave you, my brothers and sisters, to continue the battle in my stead.

You've got a point with the animal cruelty thing, the rest is a non-issue. Ironically, the halal method of killing animals was originally conceived as the least cruel method possible, back when Islam had no beef with free thought; unfortunately, the rise of fundamentalism has subsequently prevented the adoption of any more humane methods invented after that point, utterly defeating the original intent.
"Halal" is the Islamic equivalent of "Kosher", and simply prescribes method(s) of slaughter and butchering. Has nothing to do gods, demons, or any of that shit.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians that you shoud not worry about whether food had been sacrificed to 'idols' or not, and to just eat whatever is given you. So you fail at the bible.

also Allah is the same god the Christians and Jews worship, its just their word in their language for him.
Hmmm... I wonder about kosher meat then? Especially poultry. In lieu of free range chicken and turkey, pretty much universally chefs and cooks alike will take and pay extra for a kosher bird. They are better cared for and taste amazing.
Pretty sure kosher meat is also an affront to the good "dr," but I'm betting he'd eat it cuz it's good!
