. Since when did it be ok to act gay? I pine for the 1950's when life was a lot better than it is today. When men and women married and stayed married. When rearing children was a part of life, and not looked down upon. This country has gone to hell and the California Supreme Court has no authority to overturn something the VOTERS of California passed. BTW, it's not hate, it's FREE SPEECH. But of course, Gay-Rights advocates twist it to fit their views. If I don't agree with you, it's hate, but if you don't agree with me, it's free speech? How does that make sense? It doesn't.

My aunt is right there with ya, Unreal. (Hey, gotta love the honesty in usernames!)

It was only because of the radical social attitudes of the late 60s that a crippled Catholic only child from a broken home was able to marry my aun't precious little brother, and raise two Catholic children, one of whom should be locked away where she can't contaminate decent society with her mental retardation.

Yeah, that's me, because I'm ADHD/LD. Aunt Bitch also has a grandson with Cerebral Palsy, and you bet you that she longs for "The Good Old Days," when damaged children were insitiutionalized at birth, and never spoken of again. Why, my cousin is audacious and uppity enough to take that child to church! What *will* the neighbors think?!?

Divorce isn't a recent invention, dimwit. It has existed for hundreds of years. Its acceptance in society is what has changed. Many of them stayed married because the wives were afraid to leave or couldn't get a divorce as easily as they can now. And yes, there were cases of men leaving their wives and women leaving their husbands. Just ask Hollywood.

The VOTERS did no such thing. As a matter of fact, the voters' direct representatives, the California legislature, tried, TWICE, to pass legislation specifically allowing gay marriage, but it was vetoed, TWICE, by the Governator. It is only the in-place policy against gay marriage that was struck down, and that was entirely in line with California's constitution and other applicable laws. Too bad for you that the largely conservative judges on the California supreme court are at least HONEST conservative judges.

That's funny. When the democratically elected legislature of New Jersey or a democratically elected school board in Maryland does something that isn't anti-gay enough for you, or the VOTERS of several states pass medical-marijuana laws, you have no problem calling in the unelected activist judges.
