Since many dictionaries consider a necklace to be two things: (1) adornment about the neck and (2) worn typically by females, we can assume there is an effeminate connotation to wearing a necklace. While this may not always be true, the Bible takes such a strong stand against the effeminate, that we should, as a matter of practice, stay as far away from the confusion as possible. Therefore, MEN should not wear necklaces for the purpose of adornment.

Hey, Randy-4-Teens, the majority of people in the US are female. By your logic, because being an American is a majority female trait, it is thus effeminate. OK. So. If fashion changes and by the 2020s all the cool guys are wearing necklaces, and none of the cool chicks are, so that necklaces are associated with masculinity ... then it would be OK to wear a necklace, yes?
What the hell? Randy, have you ever been to church? You are a fraud. I have been to numerous religions places of worship (Lutheran,Catholic,Baptist,Methodist, Episcopal,Presbyterian,Brethren, Church of God, even a synagogue). In EVERY single one of those places of worship, the religious leader wore a cross, crucifix, or "Star of David". Oh I get it, you are above all these mere ministers of the word, you are the "Gospel According to Randy" with your made up excuses for Biblical bigotry. You better hope God has a sense of humor, or maybe you are proof that God has a sense of humor.PS I'd watch who I called effeminate even among ministers. I know a Lutheran who won a silver star in the 82nd airborne, a Presbyterian vicar who teaches judo parttime(his hobby and darngood protection for inner-city kids) and a Methodist who hunts to feed the poor(and is a hell of a shot, forgive me Tom, for the phrase) in his small rural area.
For the most part I think necklaces are a nuisance, but I wore a simple cross necklace for years, until it accidentally went down the drain. But back then I was one of them heretic Cathlicks, and now I'm a borderline-atheist with delusions of agnosticism, so I guess I don't count...
That's funny you know. I've seen a lot of priests and ministers and such of all denominations. They were all wearing collars (3 a band of leather, etc worn round the neck by an animal, especially a dog.) but I could swear they were speaking in actual words, and not just "woof woof! woof woof!"
And just what's wrong with being like a female (effeminate)?
Oh right, I forgot, god hates our worthless female guts - despite having created us - and gave us to men as their property, to use and abuse as they saw fit. It's all our fault, too, for having the effrontery to exist while female.
