"Niall is wary of religious beliefs infiltrating politics. What he doesn't realize is that Western civilization is built upon the premise that GOD decrees objective morality. Rights don't come from government; they come from GOD. The purpose of government is to secure these GOD-given rights. It has no authority to remove them.
