Voodoo is a religion of slavery. Voodoo led Blacks into slavery, and Christianity led Blacks to freedom. This is why right now in America, you can tell who's free and who's not. Blacks who are still bound by poverty are still under the power of witchcraft.

And what about all the millions of people, black and white and in-between, that are Christians and still poor? What about the slave-owners and the descendants of slave-owners who loudly proclaimed their christianity from behind a white sheet? Sorry, if you're going to draw conclusions, you're not allowed to neglect the facts so recklessly.
I think it's sad that you want to denonize Voodou. It is a very interesting religion and it's,based off African folk beliefs with Christian trappings.
Africans had everything ripped away from them when they were forced into slavery. They were forced into Christianity to "save their souls".
Witchcraft or Voodoo, one per customer, please. One of the Xtian justifications for slavery was the identification of blacks as the biblical Sons of Ham. "Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren." The voodoo God of the Sea, Agwe, is sometimes portrayed as an elderly, distinguished black man in the uniform of a United States Navy Admiral. I think that's fairly pro U.S.A. myself. I have many neopagan wiccan friends. They mostly behave more like Christians are allegedly supposed to than Christians often do. E.D.- your unjustified biases are showing.
Voodoo is a hybrid of African religions and Christianity (as Chloe said). The blacks who invented Voodoo were already slaves.
Far from being led into slavery by voodoo, they practised it in order to carry on what they were allowed to keep of their original religion under the watchful eye of their enslavers, who (as Sasha said) were Christian . "Yes massuh, that be how we worship Jesa."
Oh what the fuck it's Mack. Why even bother. He's probably angling for a job in the Trump administration like David Clarke.
That's amazing given that Voodoo didn't even fucking exist when the Europeans began enslaving the Africans. In fact it's a melding of African religions & Christianity, which makes Christianity responsible for its existence; if Christian Europeans hadn't abducted & purchased those people and forced Christianity upon many of them, voodoo would never have come about.
Tl;dr: A Christian taking shots at voodoo, like any other parent insulting their own child's upbringing, invariably gets hit right in the face by the ricochet.
Confused?
