There is some Biblical thought that heaven is located in Orion and for the scientist there is a pure white light which comes from this region which cannot be diffracted into the rainbow of colours as normal white light. This would be pure white light from God.
Heaven is a real physical place. There is no point to a spiritual heaven.
Yes heaven is Gods residence.
When probation is up and sin is dealt with, heaven will be relocated to this very earth, isn't that exciting.

errr...ok .... whatever you say...
plue points out on thin air: LOOK THERE IS GOD!!!
Tim looks around furiously: OH DEAR LORD!!! HEAVEN IS HERE AT LAST!!
plue walks away, shaking her head and muttering: u dumb idiot...
Tim crying out for God. while the rest of the people who go past Tim stare at him because he is an idiot...
mega-phail.
the stupid, it burns
Heaven is in the constellation of Orion? Okay. If I gave you a space ship to go find it, even if it had enough power to get you where you needed to go, it would take an eternity to search the whole of that space. Knock yourself out!

Wonderful. Now take your meds and lie down.

got anything resembling a source?
You don't sound very excited, boy! You best put some exclamation marks into that there sentence!
And some...what're they called...ca-pee-tal letters, too! But...don't make 'em so the devil knows where you're a-gonna put 'em! Sprinkle 'em around the place. Hehehehe...
If Heaven is a real physical place, then you would need a real physical form to go there. If Heaven is supposed to have mansions, then you can't use them if you're made of some ethereal ghostly gas crap. Your hand would go right through anything you tried to pick up, and apparantly there is milk, honey and fruit to be enjoyed in Heaven.
Which brings up the valid point of how does a physical body get through the atmosphere and across the universe to this physical Heaven? When you put a body in a coffin and heap six feet of earth on top, only very rarely does the corpse explode from the grave and rocket into outer space. Maybe we need to watch graveyards closely for Christian cadavers heading into orbit.
You really should have stuck to that vague rubbish about out of body experiences and tunnels of light. But when god is going to relocate, let me know. I know a reliable removal firm.
I prefer to think that you go to a spiritual realm, separate from this plane of being x: Of course, anyone can believe what they want, but it seems Christians are getting kookier by the moment.
So the people of Bable were going to build a tower that could reach Orion??
Damn, got to give that ancient technology the nod, and I thought the pyramids were great.
Anyway, check your bible. You will be like the angels (i.e. spirits). Mark 12:25
If heaven is within the domain of the real universe, then all known observations and scientific laws suggest that no person who has died could ever have made it there.
Protip: This is why the smarter fundies (smarter than you, at any rate) like to claim their heaven isn't in the real world but some intangible other plane of existence - that way they don't have to explain how, upon death, the patterns of information arising out of the interaction of neural matter in a person's head could survive the dispersal of that matter and then make a journey of over a thousand light years to another part of the galaxy, all without making any measurable disturbance to matter or energy fields along the way.
Scientists didn't say that exactly. Moreover, if life would be possible there, we would already know. It's impossible to live with a temperature over 2000ºC. I prefer the old "Heaven is a state of mind where you feel in communion with God"
"there is a pure white light ... which cannot be diffracted into the rainbow of colours as normal white light."
That is actually incredibly impossible.
"Heaven is a real physical place"
And given the real laws of physics, and the distance to Orion, nobody has actually made it to heaven yet.
There's no such thing as pure white light. Our eyes have three color receptors: one tuned to red light, one for green and one for blue. If all three receptors are stimulated at the same time by a mixture of red, green and blue light, our brains perceive it as white.
"there is a pure white light which comes from this region which cannot be diffracted into the rainbow of colours as normal white light. "
Also there is an oil well that was drilled into hell. And my closet is a portal to Narnia.
"When probation is up and sin is dealt with, heaven will be relocated to this very earth, isn't that exciting."
So, what, Trump Heaven? Fuck! Just what this planet needs, a tacky, gaudy, heaven. Oh wait, sounds like one of those religious amusement parks. UGH.

That was a hilarious mental image. Super Flying Space Zombies for Jesus!
This doesn't strike me as terribly fundamentalist, actually. This guy's off in his own world - I would imagine your average fundie would tell him he's smoking something, just for different reasons than posters here would.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
