So... if you get the prediction that delivering the baby, or some event on the road to that point will kill you, then you just need to pray *real* hard. If you die, you're a filthy sinner and probably deserved it anyway. Guys like this piss me off. Go ahead, believe in god, that's not bothering me the least as long as you don't try to convert me, however, people that encourage others to ignore medical advice, stating that "god'll fix it" ... that just makes me sick.
After I was born, my mother became pregnant for a 2nd time. My mother has a genetic defect which caused her 2nd child to not develop properly. The doctors gave her a choice when she was 6/7 months along:
1. Abort the baby
2. Carry the baby to term, and risk dying yourself (oh, and the baby will still die if you birth it).
So in both cases, the baby was going to die. Nothing at that time could save it. My mother could abort it and save her own life, or carry it to term, watch it die, and risk dying herself, leaving me (her first son) and her husband alone.
She chose to abort. My dad agreed. When I was told about this whole scenario when I was 15, I agreed too. If the baby will die regardless, why risk the mother's life, when it's possible she could have another chance to get pregnant again and possibly give birth to another healthy human being?

So, when god is calling and calling for Gramma on her deathbed, but she's kept artificially alive by every tube, wire and machine imaginable, that's good, too? Because to me, it just seems like the other side to the same coin.
