Comments on the Reddit post indicate the girl was raped, had attempted to commit suicide twice, at least one time before anyone knew she was pregnant. She was kept prisoner in the hospital until she gave birth by caesarean section. Oh, and the baby is reported as being in poor health, and probably won't survive.

Even if she were "fine" and the baby had a chance to live, what makes anyone think that an 11-year-old child is going to be OK raising a baby?
If it's the same story I read earlier, the child (the raped one) had a cesarean at 23 weeks, and it's doubtful if the baby will live.
The child was molested by a 65-year-old relative. Her family fought with her to get an abortion, but some government official later said that she hadn't wanted an abortion. Argentinian laws says that abortion is legal if the life of the woman is threatened, and in cases of rape, this was both and she still wasn't allowed an abortion. This isn't even about a WOMAN, but a CHILD, and by her very age, a pregnancy IS life-threatening. It's hard and dangerous for ADULT women to be pregnant and to give birth, and it's also hard for adult men and women to care for a child properly, and to raise it to be a productive member of society. How will a CHILD be able to do that?
The child begged and begged them to remove what the rapist had left inside her, but she was forced to carry it for 23 weeks (over half a normal pregnancy). Of course she's not fine!!! She was suicidal, and the toll of the pregnancy, and the betrayal of the adult world, will be with her for a looong time. She should probably be on suicide watch for quite some time...

DAMN! It was actually legal for to have the abortion but those monsters still refused! I wonder if that old maggot who raped her was rich and payed them off.
At least some family members cared about her and defended her and I just knooooowwwwwww they got some BIG extrajudicial plans for that dirty old nonce!

Considering what's going on in Argentina right now, perhaps the govt. has been compromised by subhumans more wingnut than usual.
Hopefully this gets protested like crazy and his girl becomes a cause celebré and many come to her aid and tell those officials and Dirty Old Fuck to FUCK OFF!
