Columbus helped with the spread of western civilization (a civilization that brought tremendous advancements in math, science, medicine, philosophy, and technology to the world) and the natives were conquering, killing, raping, enslaving, sacrificing, and sometimes eating each other long before any European set foot in the Western Hemisphere and the Europeans ended that. My point is, the natives were violating human rights far longer and to a greater degree than Columbus or any settler. The man may have contributed to ending their way of life, but their way of life was never worth preserving in the first place. Bottom line, the Europeans conquered some violent savages. Big deal we did a better job with this land than what they ever could have. Columbus and colonialism are some of the greatest things that ever happened to the Americas.
Also about MLK: People would be fine with getting rid of MLK day as he really wasn’t that great of a man. The guy was actually a degenerate. Look at some the files on him that were released. As far as the Nobel Peace Prize goes, it doesn’t mean much considering the fact that Obama won the same prize even though he bombed Syrian children and funeral homes, destabilized the Middle East during the Arab Spring, contributed to the Migrant Crisis, and was in war every day of his presidency. As I said earlier, MLK didn’t even end the legal oppression of blacks, that was Lincoln and LBJ. MLK May have helped out but he didn’t end it. Finally, we already have equal rights in the US and not everything can or should be made equal. But I guess I’ll just never understand the Left’s fetish with “equality”.
