Ibuki thinks that it's really creepy how the hardcore right-wing Christians claimed that Russia was an evil communist country for years, but once word got out that Russia was cracking down super-hard on gay people, all of a sudden those same people start praising it as "the most godly country on earth".
Really, Ibuki thinks that it serves as a true marker of what their ideals really are. They don't care about spreading love or helping those in need. They just want to push other people down and establish themselves as the people in power. They ignore their own messiah's teachings of peace in favor of bullying people they deem "wrong" and "evil".
This is why Ibuki's not in favor of theocracies. When their word is reshaped to whatever the person in power wants it to be, it just winds up being used to oppress people.

The thing about the Masons that bothers Fundies, is that Masons refer to a generic 'Supreme being' instead of 'Iehovah' (Yes, I used 'I' instead of 'J') And in the Fundies mind, this somehow translates to the Masons' deity being the Devil.
