God is indeed a just God..who punishes sin in its entirety.
If the baby doesn't have Jesus' holy, precious blood attoning for its sins, then it's damned to hell.
Now, if by the power of the Holy Spirit, the eternal soul of that baby hears the holy gospel, perhaps as the mother is walking by a church even, and believes the message, it would go to heaven.
Jesus loves little children, threatening those that would lead them astray that it would be better for them to be tossed into the sea with a millstone around their necks. So I'd like to think that it's possible for an unborn baby to hear the gospel message with it's soul and be saved.

He can't be serious? This has to be a poe right?
Most newborns don't understand much more than "hungry", "tired", or "in pain". How the hell are they supposed to hear the gospel message and figure it out when fully-grown, educated men and women who have been studying the Bible for years haven't got a clue?
Ultimately, when you consider that, it doesn't matter if the mother buys the books-on-tape version of the Bible, puts headphones on her stomach, and plays it 24-7. The baby will not understand the basics of your theology, will not accept Jesus into his heart, and therefore, if the baby dies, it goes to hell. Your moronic scenario will never, ever happen, and we all know it's just a pitiful attempt for you to try to justify yourself.
So I'd like to think that it's possible for an unborn baby to hear the gospel message with it's soul and be saved.
The sooner people like you realise that what you'd like to be true has fuck all influence on reality, the better off we'll all be.
An unborn hasn't even have ears developed, let alone cognitive capacities to comprenhend it, again, is it justice?. And moreover, why do you oppose abortion so much?
Gee whiz, buddy, what you're saying there smacks of Mormon doctrine.
I guess fundies will grab any doctrines that make their blood god seem less bloody.
Of course, it might be a Mormon, but the rest of the post has too much of that Baptist-fundy stink about it.
Sounds like you ain't right with your god, boy, spouting Mormon doctrine like that.
A baby of 4 months doesn't even have the cognitive ability to recognize that it's hand is attached to it's body, and you think that one in the womb is going to have the cognitive ability to mull over the claims of Christianity, just by walking past a chuch?
It's a fucking baby. Babies aren't aware of themselves much less sin.
threatening those that would lead them astray that it would be better for them to be tossed into the sea with a millstone around their necks.
What? no wait...WHAT?!
...at least the anti-abortion argument makes sense now. Except that whole "I'm an aborted fetus, now I'm in heaven in Jesus' arms" bullshit story. Dammit, I'm still confused. :/
@Doctor Whom: I'll crack open that Bible and review it even further considering this. If the loophole is as big as it seems, this may be where I get off.
Edit: Reading the thread. The OP is using this as the key reason that abortion must be fought. Keep in mind that the key question in the abortion issue isn't "Where do they go after death?", it's "Is it a fully human being before the birth process is complete?". The former doesn't address the latter. If anything, it's partially the other way around.
Edit Ye Seconde: Theogonia's doing a heckuva job responding to him.
Edit Ye Thirde: Sunset2009 also deserves my respect.

Feel that Christian love!
I still maintain that fundies are conducting some sort of Ultimate Stupidity contest, and there are so many contestants that there's no clear favorite yet. It's safe to say, however, that BreadAlone is definitely in contention.
desperately trying to find a way around his or her abominable creed that the unsaved are damned.
Sorry honey, according to you babies burn!
The post two above this one is worse:
"Pardon me, but that is over-the-top in terms of stupidity. If god exists, he would surely send babies to heaven, or find some means of recycling them so that they get to live again and find out if they sin knowingly."
Just imagining a big recycling bin up in the sky, and God saying "Nope, this one died too early - let's give it another shot" and tossing in babies.
@AnonymousAsshole, 357960:
Mormon doctrine puts the age of accountability at 8 years old; prior to that, it's nearly impossible for a child to even differentiate right from wrong, let alone grasp religious ideals.
lets not even get into the differences between the Mormon take on hell, and everyone else's...
Kindly don't associate us with this piece of shit. Thanks. T_T
Or God could not damn everyone to Hell, and not let babies inherit sin, that way the system is fair and only adults need to atone.
It would really freaking simplify everything.
You don't "accept" Christ, the Holy Spirit works faith on your heart. Thus, you don't need a "mind" or the ability to "accept" Christ..you only need a soul..which babies have. So, it's almost impossible for a baby NOT to be saved, considering how there's no mind or real conciousness combating the Spirit's work.
And, hell is eternal separation from God..which is what unbelievers seem to want..so why are you so opposed to the idea? God's GIVING you what you want..life away from him. How's that unjust?
@cyborgtroy
I couldn't agree more! Why invent all these hoops to jump through? If one is going to believe in deity, why is it so hard to believe in a deity that accepts people based on intent and good works instead of magical rituals? Or better yet, just accepts people.
Yeah,, keep telling yourself theres a way out of hell for miscarried or stillborns born to Christians. It's all bullshit anyway,,so believe what you want.

Now you just sound fucking stupid. Not just crazy.

If there's a reason why right-wing Fundamentalist Christianity should be illegal worldwide, in the same way as it's illegal in Germany to openly deny the Holocaust never happened, it's you & your attitude, BreadAlone.
You & your ilk's poisonous way of thinking are also the reason why I'm an Atheist. And always will be.

Yeah, about that. How did it happen in the first place?
Confused?
