Yes, I'm sure that Halle Berry, Tiger Woods, Cash Warren, Barack Obama, Mariah Carey, and Derek Jeter would love to hear how their parents were able to give birth to them, given that one of each of them was an "animal" and of a different species.

Jury is still out on that. We may be able to make humanzees, every time someone has tried the project has been shut down before getting definitive results. It is undeniably true that a humanzee would be largely infertile, because non-human apes have different numbers of chromosomes (even though they have all the same genes).
I'll have to run my own tests. If anyone needs me, I'll be at the zoo.

The humanzee has the sophomoric jokes usually reserved for sheep. Ewe wouldn't believe it. (Sorry.) But an Internet site put some to rest (as well as some, er, volunteers) by saying it couldn't be done the conventional way as chimps have far more upper-body strength than humans and thus it would have to be done by artificial insemination and implanted. It would be sterile, as are any crosses (like mules).
