Do you know what, I am actually very glad that you are a Christian.consenting adults and the abuse of minors who are not physically/mentally or in any other way ready to make such decisions, then you need others to think for you, as you're clearly not in any way capable of thinking for yourself. If only it wasn't for those few verses in the OT which fuel you and the rest of your fundie ilk for your own homophobic prejudices. But hey! Then again if you were'nt able to condemn others with such vigour, people like you probably wouldn't be interested..

You know, I can't actually recall any biblical mention or condemnation of paedophilia, so by your own rules this is a non-analogy. Unless you're accepting paedophilia to be self-evidently immoral, in which case you by default also admit that the bible is not an all-encompassing perfect statute of morality and weaken your stance on homosexuality.
Good point, Brain-in-a-Jar. I never thought before about the bible failing to condemn pedophilia, though I am aware of the bit where god tells the Israelites to slaughter all the Canaanites but to take the young virgin girls for themselves (apparently to be used as sex slaves). So, on deeper reflection, it seems the bible is not so much silent on pedophilia but actually supportive of it.
