(Lindsey Averill chose to abort at 22 weeks, because the fetus had unavoidable complications, and was unlikely to survive for long after birth)
I'll repeat the phrase from the 70's...
If a woman can't handle a pregnancy, how can she handle the presidency? (And yes, I'm a woman, btw)
So, once again it's about the selfishness of the mom-to-be. I can't bring her into the world just to watch her die.
We're ALL born to die. What you do with your living, is the keeper part. smh

I bet Lindsey Averill isn't going to be the president.
This particular FETUS couldn't handle the pregnancy, the woman clearly could, or she wouldn't have kept with it for FIVE EFFING MONTHS!
How come men are allowed to become presidents, when they certainly can't handle a pregnancy?
So a man, who will NEVER have to "handle a pregnancy" nor make the difficult choice of abortion, is supposed to be better at handling crisis?? Go back and read your post again, Shaun, and see how stupid it sounds to the rest of us.
(And yes, I'm a woman, btw)
Somehow I doubt this. And I don't remember seeing the name Lindsey Averill included in lists of Presidential candidates. Do you listen to yourself when you say such stupid and unfeeling things?
So you think it would have been better to carry through the pregnancy through the third trimester, go through the harrowing process of child-delivery and let the poor baby die in agony shortly after?
I'd say this saved everyone involved a great deal of pain and suffering.
You know, if you make the argument that convenience is a poor reason to have an abortion, I might agree with you. You just happen to pick an example that to me makes it abundantly clear why the option needs to be there.
At 22 weeks, we'll just ignore the difficult decision it was for Lindsey to make aborting her dying fetus. As for Shaun, I wouldn't be surprised if she has never been in the position of having he decision of aborting a dying fetus.
We all die but we are not born to die. We are born to live, live a full life. Death is the end but it's not the goal.
Shaun your a woman? Why Shaun and not Shauna then?

You have no idea how just the above pic alone blasts your 'argument' out of the space-time continuum. Indeed, you have just admitted that - and especially as Ronnie Raygun was going loopy - this particular man couldn't handle being acted off the screen by a chimpanzee, never mind the position of Leader of the Free World.
...and as the... well, I can't even call it a carbon -based lifeform, but more along the lines of the polarised Silicon -based & acid-blooded Xenomorphs from the "Alien" films that was standing next to said loopy retard who had ideas above his station also went loopy, then the real Antichrist Maggie Thatcher (*spit *) doubly destroys your argument.

You think choosing an abortion means she ’can’t handle’ the situation?
I can think of two Star Trek episodes off the top of my head that examined the need to be able to make difficult choices when you’re a leader.
You may disagree with the conclusion, but you cannot pretend it was the easiest route.
Confused?
