Let's say you and your boyfriend live in the US and you wanted to get married (in some states for now, more will follow). Because "some" militiant homosexual activists became involved in the culture and political scene, all that you and your boyfriend would have to do is go get a marriage license.
The same goes with Education; you can become a openly homosexual teacher because of what "some" militant homosexual activists did.
The Church; you can become a homosexual pastor in many churches because of what "some" militant homosexual activists did.
Government: You can hold political office because of what "some" militant homosexual activists did.
The Military: You can join the military as an openly homosexual male or female (activists are currently working on allowing transsexuals into the military as well) because of what "some" militant homosexual activists did.
The list goes on and on.
Are you starting to get the picture, or are you still going to play dumb alwight?

A collective implies that there is some sort of structure, rules and such. As you know the collective exists, it must be easy for you to show us the structure, provide a certified copy of the rules etc. Or are you just a liar using a word that sounds all socialist to make it seem bad?

It seems those militants are fighting for the American dream of equality, freedom and the pursuit of happiness. It might not be your happiness though.
So, basically, your "argument" here is that the LGBT people who "know their place" are ok, but those who stand up for themselves and demand equal treatment are "militant" and baaad, and they might give others the nerve to do the same.

Because some gay people fought for gay rights which all gays now enjoy, then all gay people need to be punished for the "crimes" of a few? aCultureWarrior does know what rights are, doesn't he? You know, something that you are able to do because you are a human being and everyone else gets to do as well, not something that people in the minority get to do if the majority just happens to feel generous enough to allow them to do it?

The Military: You can join the military, and have white people in the country you're stationed in stick up for you, because the tolerant British people objected to the white troops' demands for segregated facilities (especially pubs), and the Brits beat the crap out of the white foreign servicemen in WWII.
