They could save time and money if they opened the Bible. It reveals the keys to life.
Besides, if we found life on any planets, we would no doubt start a war and kill them.

... actually, yeah, we probably would. Sigh.
"Besides, if we found life on any planets, we would no doubt start a war and kill them."
What if that life was bananas? You would destroy the planet of atheist nightmares.
Ray knows nothing about outer space or any of it's features yet feels free to speak as if he is a fountain of knowledge. They all do this, all creationists act as if they know everything but it's all bad acting and dishonest posing.
The Bible has given us not one piece of Astronomical knowledge, it in fact contains many false things that other cultures had figured out before. Even Astrology, a religion at one time itself at least charted planetary movement and extensive star field maps and movements.
"Besides, if we found life on any planets, we would no doubt start a war and kill them."
You might, Bibles big on that. In fact there's a theory that aliens might have been around for years, even centuries but won't contact us because of our damned idiotic religions being unable to handle such knowledge. Oddly enough this idea in nicer terms of "culture shock' has been floated by several predominate world leaders.
I doubt it but it is a concern that contact may have occurred but advancement being held back by those who always do that.
Oh wow, that's wonderful! FOX news is smarter than somebody, at last. Of course it's only Ray Comfort, so it doesn't count.
1- Kitzmiller vs. Dover. Must be cold in that river in Egypt, Ray Cumfart.
2- "Independence Day: Resurgence" is not a documentary. Also, SETI. The protocols in place with governments & the UN should we be contacted by extraterrestrials.
3- ?????
4- You FAIL. But not when it comes to thinking up new ways of scamming your sheeple, eh...?!
"if we found life on any planets, we would no doubt start a war and kill them"
Made me remember the hypothesis that life is abundant in space, there are loads of planets with life on them. However, most of those planets are inhabited by what we would call primitive life forms: bacteria, plants, fungi, animals. Planets with sapient beings living in civilizations as least as technologically advanced as ours are few and even on astronomical scale far between.
"We" meaning "religious zealot missionaries"? Yeah, probably. Good to see you're finally developing a tiny flicker of self-awareness.
EDIT: I love his assumption that we'd win.
@Pink Jacobs
Will he be Lawful Good just to throw it in Banana boy's face that non Christians are evil? ;)
Ray may have a point. People could save time and money if they opened a Bible and read it. They might stop going to church and donating so much to candidates and people who use it to lead the gullible by their noses.
This comment will be going into some sci-fi territory but it will with any luck show my point well enough.
What worries me the most about space travel is that if the world is not united as one there will likely be further wars triggered if say a colony from a particular country populates a planet with valuable resourses and as such others try to grab a piece of it for themselves.
The Scramble for Africa comes to mind in drawing a historical example from the past.
This threat while something that will not happen in our lifetimes could become very real if we do not clean up our act up while we are still limited to Earth. I fear this way more than wars involving aliens.
We did open the Bible. There is no keys to life in there, no HOW at all. Only stupid shit about pillars of heaven, talking snakes, rabbits chewing the cud, pi equals 3...
Life doesn't have to be human-like or sapient. Life can be plankton or molluscs or lichen.
"if we found life on any planets, we would no doubt start a war and kill them."
Given the history of religions doing that to people in other countries, it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
"Besides, if we found life on any planets, we would no doubt start a war and kill them. "
That is the Christian way historically
Wow... really goes to show the mindset this asshole has. No faith in humanity in the slightest, other than our ability to inflict violence.
Ray, I liked it better when I just thought you were a dumbass.
@Doubting Thomas
Or more likely both
