"A chef preparing a dish from cobra flesh died when the snake's head bit him - 20 minutes AFTER it was cut off."
This news shows that just like Genesis says, the serpent is the most cunning creature, hence that is why satan possessed a serpent to trick Eve.
This incident also proves as true the murderous evil power of snakes, which corroborates their evil as described in Genesis and why God chose to curse them.
In other words, in this post I have provided a real-life example that makes ernie's mocking strawman posts against godly people, wherein he says things like "you believe in a talking snake!", look like the tomfoolery that they are.

God was obviously using the snake to punish the chef for what it saw as needless killing. It's also a fan of irony.

God punished snakes because it was used by Satan? That's being a bit judgmental on an entire suborder of animals because of the actions of one individual under the influence of a trickster. That'd be like me judging all Christians as slimy because of David J. Stewart.

They are not, they're just cold-blooded reptiles with survival and mating instincts like most animals. They don't sit around and plan to bite humans just because.
I swear this is the result of about 100 years of cartoons featuring anthropomorphic animals.
Snakes aren't evil. And that was just a metaphor for the satan, because if it was talking about a literal snakes. Then the the legless lizard was invole in tricking Eve. After all legless also used to have legs. But are now legless, and they too stick their tonuge out. Matter of fact snakes don't eat dust, as the bible said they would. And have you notices that the bible didn't say other. Which mean it was set a part from the the animals kingdom. And because of that the curse should not be taken literally. God was comparing the devil to the snake since that the devil was acting like one. Another thing Paul was surprise that this snake talk. Don't give that but snake are wise that doesn't mean that it normal even for snakes to talk. Paul would still consider as something shocking. Maybe all animals could talk back then you said. Oh please! You just made that. Where in the bible did it say that. And how snakes can't talk anymore the God didn't curse the snake voice box? Oh yeah! Because they don't have one.

I see a story about a guy bitten by a wounded, dying snake. That happens. Things don't always die right away even when mortally wounded.
Nothing "murderous," "evil" or "tricky" about it. Animals instinctively lash out when wounded or in pain. We do too. Victim should have exercised much greater caution or made absolutely certain the snake was entirely dead.
So where is your talking snake? Or are you actually alledging that they're all somehow hiding the fact that they can talk from us?

You think the snake planned that?
And if the serpent in the Genesis story was just possessed by Satan, that makes your god seem like an even more colossal dick. He curses all humans because of something one couple did (even though they had no way of knowing that doing it was wrong) and an entire “kind” of animals because one such animal at one time was possessed by another entity (which he had created). The sad thing is that you wouldn’t even realize that God is the villain in this story if someone would point this out to you
Oh yes, snakes are evil, monstrous creatures. Just look at the horror! (Viewer Warning!)

I'm sorry if I have scarred any of you readers with these horrendous images.
"[T]he snake's head bit him - 20 minutes AFTER it was cut off."
Obviously, this snake was one of the last descendants of the Hydra of Lerna. Therefore, Greek mythology is true. Glory to Olympus!
“This news shows that just like Genesis says, the serpent is the most cunning creature,”
Cunning? it wasn’t cunning enough to escape death.
It wasn’t cunning enough to kill its captor.
It’s just a nervous reaction to stimuli that’s been known for a while. It’s why we never touched the snakes after we killed them.
"hence that is why satan possessed a serpent to trick Eve.”
Woman. The Snake tricked Woman, not Eve. Look it up.
And… If the snake is cunning, why did Satan have to possess it? But if it was possessed, why did it refer to teh snake as cunning, Satan was driving?
This is incoherent.
Confused?
