The word finance and fiance are very similar, and the latter is missing a key component, a letter.
You can conjoin the word fiance with finance ( by adding a letter), but you cant do it the other way round by conjoining the word finance with fiance.
What i mean by this, is that women truly cannot have a fiance. They have a finance, which in this situation is the poor ol chap whos providing them with everything for them to survive. ( money, food, paid bills).
