Why is defending traditional marriage archaic?
Because the definition of marriage is already one that has changed time and again. Not to mention, the current definition being debated is the LEGAL one, and has nothing to do with anything religious.
If society "needs to move on" from archaic defense of traditional marriage, what is the next move and why is that move "right"?
I know, I mean next thing you know, we might get interracial mariages, right?
If what makes the next move "right" is supported by the "it's what makes people happy" logic, then why is Adolf Hitler seen as a madman if he found happiness in murdering millions of Jews?
Me marrying a man harms no one, other than your fragile little feelings. The holocaust directly harmed millions. Are you seeing a slight difference between the two?
Why is there a criminal system in our country if raping children is what makes someone happy?
A pedophile traumatizes children, causing them irreparable psychological harm. Me marrying a man does no mental damage to either of us.
Why are there speed limits if driving 100 MPH is fun to me?
Because the potential damage you can do if you lose control at that speed is great. If I marry another man, it causes no harm, loss of life or property damage.
Why do I have to pay bills if I find happiness in making and keeping my money?
Because if that company stops making money, they are unable to provide the service at all.
What about homosexuality makes it okay in our society only because it means some couple is happy?
Because it's more than "it makes us happy." There are many legal benefits that we do not have that are required...many of which centering around end of life. Who is better prepared to make decisions for my partner? Me, or someone who shunned him since he came out? Who deserves to inherit our house should he pass? Me, who has been living there for years, or his father who disowned him? Why should I be treated as a "friend" if he's in the hospital?
Are there no further implications about that?
Nope. Your Chicken Little theories about it causing the decay and implosion of society notwithstanding, the only result of gay marriage being legal is...gays will marry.
What is the acceptance of homosexuality saying about the rules of survival in biology (that relationships between male and female of a species ensure the future of that species)?
That if you have a stable pair of mates that are unable to procreate, they will be able to take some of the slack from those that can? You know, look after those kida that the godless whores are popping out because they can't keep their legs together.
What about the moral implications about sexuality in general?
That it's not a dirty thing that you should be ashamed of? This is you guys' big fear, isn't it. When people stop feeling guilty about sex, you lose a major foothold.
Is there no limit to sexuality in our society?
Sure. Preferably not in public, because no one wants to see that.
What about children? How will we teach them that, no, a man does not always have sexual intercourse with a woman, even though biologically every single person is born wired to be attracted to the opposite sex?
Or...gosh, yo might wanna sit down for a second, because this one's a doozy, we could teach them that some men like women, but some men like other men. And some women like men and some like other other women. And some men and women like men and women. And that doesn't make them bad or weird or evil. It just makes them different.
Why is the move to accepting homosexuality considered a benefit to society?
Because society only suffers when it actively discriminates against a portion of it's citizens.
What does such moral liberalism imply about how we gauge the ethics of issues in our society?
It implies that we are growing beyond such nonsense such as "Gay marriage should be illegal because I find it wrong on a religious level." What if a group of Jews decided to lobby to make non-kosher foods illegal because of their moral sensitivities? Same difference.
Why the hell do I even try to ask these questions of a stupid and decaying society?
Because you are trying to rationalize your bigotry, and realize you are increasingly grasping at straws.
