Pagans havebeen persecuted like every group at some point in history.
But Pagans were never persecuted by Chritsians.
Only by Catholics and protestants in the USA.
There is a difference between Catholics , protestants, and Christian you know that right??

Pig ignorance or a lack of True Scotsmen?
Baffle with bullshit perhaps?
The follow up: "No Christians try to be like Christ and to do that you must try to follow the Bible completely the Catholics and portestant denomination follow their own man made doctrines.."
So close and yet so far....
Hmm, eliminating Protestants and Catholics leaves what? Orthodox denominations and Gnostics? Is this a new breed of fundie?
And regarding the claim that pagans were never persecuted by Christians, may I direct your attention to Revelation 21:8 (with emphasis on the mention of "liars")?
Last time I checked, they all were Christian. And by the way, why don't you include Eastern Orthodox?, this way I could nominate you to alternative bizarro universe.
The Stupid, it burns poor Smeagol!
Please, think of poor Smeagol!
Last time I checked, they all believed that Jesus Christ was redeemer, and that a prerequisite for salvation was acknowledgement of that fact.
That makes them Christian by definition.
There IS a difference.
Catholics & Protestants are sects.
"Christians" is a general term for all the sects as a collective.
They're still Christians, though. That's where you're wrong. Well, that and the fact that European pagans were killed or converted well before the US existed.
Just so y'all know...<wink>...we Gnostics understand these TrueChristiansTM to be the modern-day incarnation of Pharisees.
A mutation, of course. Inevitable? Unexpected? Treatable? Or, like scrapie, is it terminal?
I was hearing back in high school (early 1980's) that the Baptists were the first church "why do you think they called him John the Baptist ?" was the argument.
I was amazed, then as now...
to be fair, Salem is a bad example. We don't have any proof that the women were pagans--they were mostly poor christians who didn't have men to head up their estate. or you know, who complained too much. and at least one of them for having bible studies that men attended.
Christian - of, pertaining to, believing in, or belonging to the religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Catholic - pertaining to the whole Christian body or church.
Catholics believe in and worship Jesus Christ, ergo they are christians.
QED, bitch.

The Freemasons do not claim lineal heritage from anyone, actually. The idea is that the pyramids, the Temple of Solomon, and in fact any long-standing structure on the planet required COMPETENT LEADERSHIP and TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY to create. In the early days, it was much more efficient to embrace engineering and architectural concepts in terms of symbology, more than rote scripture...after all, how many problems have we had throughout history due to rote scripture...?
Naturally, the Masons have searched the extant wisdom of the world to accumulate as many valid and pertinent symbols as they could. Eclectic? Hell yes, that is their measure of success. They are quite open-minded when it comes to spirituality.
Who the hell do you think built those magnificant cathedrals in middle-age Europe, when kings were essentially glorified pig-farmers?
You're right Carey, CHRISTIANS NEVER PERSECUTED PAGANS - they just burned many witches on the stake!
Here's something for you to ponder about: If someone believes in Jesus Christ as the son of god, that means they are Christian. As far as I know (but what do I know, I'm just a stupid pagan) catholics and protestants believe that.
But, for argument's sake let's say Protestants and Catholics are not Christians - still, Baptists these days persecute Pagans. Example - trying to get Harry Potter books banned out of school libraries because they "promote witchcraft" while it is perfectly ok to have stories about Noah's Ark available in school!
Except that Protestants and Catholics are sect of Christianity.
You do know the definition of Christian is, don't you?
If you're not Catholic and not Protestant, then what the heck kind of Christian are you?
On a side, note, that comic posted above? Genius.
May Mungo please borrow clue-bat?
Here, and keep it, I have a few spare ones at home.

@PhantasyElementz: yeah, Bruno the Bandit is a great webcomic ^^
... wha, what? I'm... totally, totally confused. What the Hell? Catholics and Protestants aren't Christians? So... that leaves "non-Denominational" and Eastern Orthodox Christians... but somehow, I doubt this guy would accept them as Christians either. o.O
I now know what to give Carey for his next birthday. A dictionary, encyclopedia, or book on comparative religions would save him from appearing a buffoon and saying stupid things like, "There is a difference between Catholics, protestants, and Christian you know that right??" No we don't, because it is 100% unadulterated bullshit(unless Christian is the name of a person who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ). Christian means accepting Jesus Christ as your savior.! NOTHING ELSE is required except that to be considered Christian. The Catholics and Protestants both meet that standard, therefore they are Christian.PS I must admit I have a problem with Southern Baptists being considered a Christian religion. They seem to be more of a right-wing political party intent on telling others what to do than spreading the word of God, and they seem to worship Paul as their messiah and quote him about ten times as often as Christ.
Oy.
So means there's only about a half dozen Christians in the world?
Such an insignificant faith. Why do we even talk about it?
And why they constantly whining to have their religion taught in schools if there are so few of them?
Even non-fudys think this. I have had many a friend who aren't fundementalist, and they said something along the lines of Catholiscism is different form christianity, however they spoke of ignorance. I pretty sure Careys a methodist, or a baptist or one on those american made ones that got em kicked outta england in the first place.
Confused?
