Someone Said: “So why, oh, why did He create us, then destroy us, then repopulate us through incest if He had foreknowledge of exactly what we were about to do?”
Ray Answered: He didn’t “destroy us.” We are still here despite the flood of Noah—because God in His kindness saved eight people, and He didn’t repopulate us through incest because “incest” wasn't a sin or a crime in those days.

He didn’t “destroy us.”
That's the worst misspelling of "genocide" I've ever seen.
We are still here despite the flood of Noahbecause God in His kindness saved eight people,
Out of multiple millions. Wow. What a guy.
, and He didn’t repopulate us through incest because “incest” wasn't a sin or a crime in those days.
So...somehow, "incest" isn't really incest if it's not illegal?
You fail on every conceivable level.

Incest is still incest, whether it's a sin or a crime, stupid.
Btw, isn't it strange that having sex with your father is not a sin, according to the Bible, but wearing clothes of mixed fibers is?
Weren't the Giza pyramids built fairly shortly after the supposed Flood supposedly happened? A few hundred people in the whole world by then, perhaps; where did the tens of thousands of pyramid builders come from? Outer space?
Actually, there are many passages on male sexual conduct in the OT; Leviticus, I believe. Laying with your daughter is a no-no. However, I do not recall if these laws were handed down before or after the alleged flood.
So when gawd sent that earthquake and tsunami that killed 230,000+ people in 2004 he was really being kind to the survivors?
And not being a sin or crime doesn't negate the act. It used to be legal to buy arsenic over the counter. Now it's a crime. Does that mean druggists weren't selling arsenic back then because it wasn't illegal?
Your gawd is one fucked up character.
He didn’t repopulate us through incest because “incest” wasn't a sin or a crime in those days.
This doesn't even make sense. So how did he repopulate the world then? And why would he be OK with incest back then, but change his mind later? Maybe it was all the inbred mutants running around?
because “incest” wasn't a sin or a crime in those days.
And these are the people who claim there are moral absolutes and accuse atheists of moral relativism.
Wait, incest wasn't a sin, but is now? So, Yahweh is somewhat different today than he was yesterday? Interesting.

okay, if he didn't repopulate us through incest, then what difference does it make if it was a sin. and the "because" between "He didn’t repopulate us through incest" and "“incest” wasn't a sin or a crime in those days." has me completely baffled, i don't even know what to say.
So something like, say, gay sex isn't gay sex where it's legal? I'm fine with that, so long as it helps get people like you to leave gay people alone and all of that.
What exactly was a sin in those days? No Bible then, Ray. Which ancient books of the Torah were in effect then?
Name them. What church was there to represent God? Name it. According to Noachian flood story the people weren't warned to stop being so damn sinny, they made fun of Noah for building the boat and suggesting God was gonna flood the world. Why weren't they clued in? And the Bunnys can't read, had no prophets and were allowed to be naked since creation under Gods graces. What the fuck did the bunnys do wrong?
Even before the rains began you've got a lot of nonsense to explain, once that boats halfway built the whole thing becomes riduculous. Sure God can do anything but there should be something we can identify as sensible or we've never been his children and he's always been purposely and cruely unpredictible.
There is a Biblical defense used in some incest cases, that the Bible gives them 100% ownership of their children and they can do what they will by Gods grace and the laws of the land cannot counter that. Also used in beating, starving, killing or refusing medical assistance charges.
It's a fundie thing.
“and He didn’t repopulate us through incest because “incest” wasn't a sin or a crime in those days.”
That’s incoherent, Rayray. It’s still INCEST if God approves of it.
The word means sexual interactions between related individuals, it’s not defined as ‘sinful sex between related individuals.’
Confused?
