The #Oregonstandoff is a chilling reminder to the left of how easily white men can fight for their rights and win.
If by “fight for their rights and win” you mean squatting in a glorified hut in the woods of Oregon and becoming the laughing stock of the whole nation, yeah, that seems to have been quite easy.
And like the others already said, the Feds don’t need to fire a single shot. Just turn off the power, heating and communications to the building and we’ll see how much these “patriots” are “winning”

#Oregonstandoff
Can you really call it a standoff if one side (i.e. local and federal law enforcement) couldn’t even be bothered to show up?
@DT:
And it was reported on the news this morning that the locals don't even want them there.
Not only that. Not even the very farmers for whom they are supposedly protesting want them there.
They said they would all leave if the locals didn't want them there but I'm betting that's a lie.
On the contrary, I think they were honestly convinced that their “occupation” would lead to widespread support throughout the country. But now that the convicted farmers, the locals and even other rightwingnut groups are distancing themselves from them, they are desperately looking for an out which lets them keep at least a shred of dignity.
“See, we would have given our lives for our cause, but to impose ourselves against the wishes of the locals would have been rude, y’know.”
