How do you know your revelation is valid?
[Jason Lisle:we can know that the revelation is from God because any alternative would make knowledge impossible]
so again you are claiming omniscience, since the only way to know any alternative would make knowledge to be impossible is of course if you yourself where omniscient!
[Dr. Lisle: Only God is omniscient. And He cannot lie. Therefore, revelation from Him is absolutely certain. The argument is sound and does not require omniscience of people.]

So Gobs is all-knowing and completely honest. Then his revelation would be entirely true. Which means that the revelation cannot contradict itself. Oh wait...
Wait, he cannot lie? Then he's not omnipotent! Which makes the argument irrelevant to begin with as every omnipotent being must be able to lie!
1) What is a "revelation"? How do you know what constitutes a revelation and what does not?
2) What is "knowledge"? How would it be rendered impossible if God were not omniscient?
3) Muhammad received revelations from God in Mecca and Medinah; so Islam is true?
4) If you don't accept 3), on what grounds do you object? Which comes back to the original point; how do you know your revelation is valid?
Only God is omniscient.

And He cannot lie.
[citation seriously fucking needed]
But what about how he lied to Adam and Eve about how they're going to die if the eat the fruit of the tree?
"Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee."
- I Kings 22:23 (KJV)
"And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so."
- II Chronicles 18:21 (KJV)
"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
II Thessalonians 2:11-12 (KJV)
According to your bible, both the Old and New Testaments agree that your god is a pretty slippery character. Are you sure you can say that it doesn't lie?
If God is omniscient and cannot lie, then certainly revelation from Him is absolutely certain. But we don't know that God is omniscient and cannot lie. In fact, we don't even know He exists. All we have is a book by anonymous Bronze Age Arabs that some humans claim is "revelation" - and even that gives no clear indication that God is either omniscient or truthful. In fact, He lied to Adam and Eve about the fruit - it was the serpent who actually told the truth.
"And He cannot lie. "
So the Bible is wrong when god admits he is a liar?
And many are alternatives from Christianity/God. (Pagan, atheist, agnostic, etc) and they seem a hell of a lot smarter than many Christians
"we can know that the revelation is from God because any alternative would make knowledge impossible"
yes, and that allows you to deduce that it is true revelation from god, even if it isn't. all things are possible to him that believeth ?
Only God is omniscient. And He cannot lie. Therefore, revelation from Him is absolutely certain. The argument is sound and does not require omniscience of people.
So... when God said that he will send lying spirits to deceive people, there is no question but that you cannot trust the revelation from him... including the one that he cannot lie, since being the source of deception is fucking lying.
The only way you could ever know for sure if God was lying or not... would be to be fucking omniscient yourself, which you've already denied you can be.
Therefore, nothing you've said is sound... and, by your own belief, that revelation you've had could just be a deception from God AND THE BIBLE WARNS YOU THAT IT CAN HAPPEN!!
I think Jason suffers from the two cell effect syndrome. Brain cell one has an impulse which it transfers to brain cell two. Brain cell two's response is to issue an instruction passing the unmodified impulse back to brain cell one, which transfers it back to two, and so on, until interrupted by a blow to the head. To the custodian of brain cells one and two it is like living in a very tiny echo chamber. To an outside observer it looks very much like insanity in action.
This relies on a few things that can't be proven. Such as this God actually existing. that even if he does exist that the bible is truly his word. That even if the Bible is God's word that your understanding of it is correct. that you are reading the right version of the bible.
The argument is not sound because it relies on knowledge of something being true that you just can't have.
Confused?
