I've been doing a lot of comparing lately with the universe, the human body, and the bible. As small as string theory and dna to stars, galaxies, and universes. There are so many duplications of creation how can it not be by Intelligent Design.
I woke up this morning thinking about belts. The equator around the earth, the rings around Saturn, Orions belt, the way the universe circles the sun, the way universes circle around in the cosmos. I went backwards and found the egg of the matter.
The yoke is surrounded by the white which is surrounded by the shell. always seems to be threes. spirit, mind, body. heart, mind and soul. inner core of the planets, the mantle and the crust. hell, earth, and heaven.

So exactly how does the mid point of the earth relate to the rings of Saturn?
And Orion' belt is three stars that other then our point of view have nothing to do with each other.
Also, since when did the universe revolve around our sun?
Somebody get this person an astronomy text.
And here, gentlemen, we see the folly of finding similarities in coincidental events.
Here's how it works: you wake up this morning and start thinking about belts. Run various objects through your mind: "The Equator is a belt (even though it's just an artificial line)...wow, there's a cosmic meaning! Let's see, now..." the Lone Traveler says, casting aside all the millions of things in the world that don't have to do with belts, and amassing all the belt-related items into a list. "Orion's belt...yes, it's just three stars thought of as the belt of a mythological hunter by the 'pagan' Greeks, but it's a belt, so I'll add it!"
Ignoring the fact that universes don't really circle about in the cosmos, and that, contrary to centuries of belief, planetary orbits are not perfectly ciruclar, what does this prove? It only proves that you can make a list of belt-related items (while ignoring all non-belt items), and because the list you have on your paper has so many belt-related things in the universe, there must be a connection!
Hmm..."Yoke," "white," and shell. What about the various membranes and chalazae? Or perhaps the embryo inside?
As for the spirit, mind, body, heart, mind and soul, you can really mix those about how you choose -- the distinctions are very nebulous.
And it's not just inner core, mantle, and crust. What about the outer core and shallow mantle?
The point I'm making with this long post that probably is too much work for such an ignorant fundie quote is this: the mind wraps itself in symbols. It is the way we interpret our world. However, this leads many to try and find meaning when there is none.
Elliptical orbits are simply the consequences of the inverse-square nature of the law of gravity (though they aren't required by it; indeed, comets in particular often have parabolic or hyperbolic orbits).
Besides, doesn't duplication imply that it tends to happen that way on its own - without the need for a designer? (It doesn't imply that there is no designer, merely that one isn't necessary.) A better argument for special design would be if our planet, solar system, or galaxy were freakishly dissimilar to all others in a way that seemed to defy all understanding.
It's like a strange free-association beginning with the word "God" and ending with "belts." Ok, so the circle is the most efficient shape for many things in the universe, that doesn't prove God. It proves Conservation of Energy.
"I've been doing a lot of comparing lately with the universe, the human body, and the bible."
'I keep all three in my laboratory, where I do most of my comparing.'
Gee. Thanks l-t, we can now correct all our theories, because you trumped us all with the wonderful mystical EGG OF MATTER.
"Yolk", by the way. "Yoke" is what oxen and slaves wear.
Continue going backwards, l-t. You're doing a GRRRREAT job!
I used to do a lot of mushrooms, (thank you Intelligant Designer) and this fundie is right, you see circles (or belts)everywhere.
Ahh circles, proof of God in all things.
your god is in my fly swatter and in my gel deoderant, and my car tires and mywrist watch. he truly is everywhere.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
