We could have banners of the original American flag and the Don't tread on me flag. Teach children about great warriors of The Revolution. Historic battles that won our freedom. American schoolchildren already learn about the heroes of the Revolution. African-Americans are Americans, too, you twit. The reason that they have a month is because too often children don't learn about the many African-Americans who contributed to this country. Just like children often don't learn about the many women who were part of this country's history. If you ask an American schoolchild today to name ten famous Americans, the odds are that most of them will be white, male, and Christian.
Hate to break it to you, but America is and has always been a diverse country. It is a country of immigrants of all religions, races, and ethnicities. To deny it, and to force children to deny it, is not only a shame, it is unpatriotic. Get a grip, you pathetic, racist moron.

Its always amazed me how some white folks (I'm white, I know how some of us act) seem to take huge offense to ANYTHING that "excludes" them. We should take Black History Month for its INTENDED PURPOSE...to honor the group of people who have been fucked over more than any other group of people in this country.
