To clarify, the christian perspective is not about disproving evolution. I'm sure you have read this.
GEN 1: In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth
It is quite the opposite, evolution is about disproving creation and therefore disproving the existence of God.

Bollocks.
Yes, the heavens and the earth were created, so what? Doesn't mean that evolution didn't happen after that. Genesis 1 doesn't say anything about gravity or hydrogen bonds or the weak molecular force. Doesn't mean they don't exist. If God created everything then that means everything, including the conditions that led to evolution.
Evolution is about showing how the diversity of life came to be and how creatures got the attributes they have. It says nothing about the creation of the Universe or God. It shows how something works, not why it is. And surely that can be seen as a study of how part of God's creation works? I'm a Christian and also a professional scientist. For me, the study of science is the study of how God put the Universe together. But then I'm about 90 IQ points higher than you, so I can understand stuff.
I know a lot of fundies like being persecuted but that's no excuse to make shit up to persecute yourselves with, that's just fucking twisted.
"Nothing to disprove.
Religion is all bunk."
why doesn't the lack of rational thought, justification and reasoning in this statement make it any less fundie than the one it attacks???
"It is quite the opposite, evolution is about disproving creation and therefore disproving the existence of God."
You may as well say evolution is trying to disprove atomic theory. In order for a theory to disprove something the theory has to have something to do with it and evolution has nothing at all to do with your god or "creation".
It is quite the opposite, evolution is about disproving creation and therefore disproving the existence of God.
Evolution is about describing the world as it is. In doing so, it happens to contradict that small minority of Christians who believe that some bronze age Arab goat-herder's story about talking snakes and women made out of ribs is word-for-word literally true. It has nothing to do with disproving the existence of God. Lots of people believe in God without believing in snakes literally talking.
Strange..every book about biology I have ever read had nothing to do about disproving or proving god..hell, they rarely even bring up the subject of God in those books.
..which makes me want to think you've never really read a Biology book and comprehended or retained it.
Well..its not really about that..but if you want it to be, then okay "evolution disproved god"
does that make you feel more persecuted now? I know how you fundies feel the need to be persecuted with trivial stuff like this..did I feed the need?

3. Biology . change in the gene pool of a population from generation to generation by such processes as mutation, natural selection, and genetic drift.
Nope, no mention of gods, holy books, or religion.
you can't or even don't need to disprove an assertion with no supporting evidence.
You can't prove something does not exist. Pink unicorns that are invisible, flying spaghetti monsters, God, the Loch Ness creature, The creature from the black lagoon, true love or anything else. You can only say "I find no evidence for (its) existance".
Evolution (biology) is a theory in science that explains the diversity of living things. Being science it does not consider supernatural causes.
Confused?
