Ah, the typical Christian cop-out. If the scientific evidence overwhelmingly disproves a part of the Bible, then either we’re looking at the evidence wrong, or the Bible passage was intended to be metaphorical. Absolutely no chance that *gasp* the Bible was written by ordinary men who could make mistakes.

By the way, I’ve got some quotes that I’d like to submit, but I’m not quite sure how to do so. Could someone give me a pointer?

If I were still a Christian, I would pray that:

1) You get the same affliction that Job had in Job 2:7,

2) You go out in the same way King Jehoram did in 2 Chronicles 21:18-19,

3) After your (hopefully painful) death, every radio station in the world plays “Ding Dong, The Witch is Dead” on repeat for 24 hours straight.
