This sounds a lot like a sermon I had to sit through when I was a kid, about how the blood of a pregnant mother doesn't mix with the blood of her baby, and therefore the blood plainly comes from the father. (WTF??? This pastor actually had an MD and he was spouting this blather!) Once you can buy that, it's obvious that Jesus' blood came directly from God, and since genetic traits are passed on through the blood (no, I'm not old enough that this dude didn't know about DNA!), Jesus was sinless. And sadly enough, even though I was smart enough at twelve to know that Pastor Jerry was talking out his ass, the adults in the congregation sat there nodding with approval and shouting "Amen!"

So He was half man, half god, i.e. a demi-god? Lol, stop trying to find excuses to make your polytheistic religion monotheistic, you aren't fooling anyone. Besides, if Jesus was actually God in human form he must have had severe split personalite disorder, as he often talked about himself and God as two different people and spoke to God on the cross (as well as other places) when he asked God to forgive the soldiers.

Also, Jesus never claimed to be born sinless. All that stuff about comparing sin to blindness and saying how he was born blind, being baptised etc? You read any of those bits? no? Anyway, I also thought the point of Jesus was that he wasn't perfect and 100% god.

Which means Jesus wasn't fully human. Even those with physical/mental disabilities came to be as a result of the normal process of human reproduction (the fertilisation of an ovum by a spermatozoa). Thus Jesus - even if he existed - was a subhuman, and therefore not worthy of acknowledgement, nor belief.

And if Mary was impregnated by the Holy Ghost, then God (which the Holy Ghost is one-third of) committed adultery; Mary was a married woman after all. Which means he broke his own 7th Commandment, thus he's a hypocrite, therefore he's a contradiction to himself, ergo God doesn't exist. QED.

Stop trying to make your ancient myth sound all sciency. It's not working.

For those for whom it's more difficult to recognize the "divine origin" claims of much mythology, or that in a savage patriarchy, an unmarried pregnancy may mean stoning... And those who ignore that gospel tradition development was gradual and that earlier texts lacked the miraculous conception doctrine. Why god doesn't heal mental amputees?
