I'm a registered Independent, and I found this interesting.

This is an open letter to all Democrats from a Democrat. I did not write this, but it needs to be shared...

I just have a few questions for you....Let me start with, I already know you don't like President Trump...that's a given, SO
let's move on from that...

How about the division of America....
Do you really blame Trump for that?

How about when NONE of the DEMOCRATS showed up for his inauguration? Don't you think that started the division? He hadn't even been president yet, and EXCEPT for Clinton and Obama, not one democrat showed up....Is that when Trump divided America? Can you imagine if the REPUBLICANS didn't show up for Obama's inauguration because they lost??? Can you even start to imagine what would have happened?

How about when 19 minutes after Trump was inaugurated, the Washington Post declared the IMPEACHMENT CAMPAIGN has STARTED? Was that when Trump divided America?

How about when Nancy Pelosi ripped up Trump's state of the union right in front of the world, showing complete disrespect for the President of the United States? Did that bring the country together and is THAT when Trump divided America?

How about when America had to endure, 3 years and over 30 million dollars spent on trying to PROVE that Trump only won because of RUSSIAN COLLUSION and NOT because America voted him in and 17 democrats did EVERYTHING in their power to PROVE that there was Russian Collusion...and came up with ZERO...?
Was THAT when Trump divided America?

Trump didn’t cause them but he is actively making them worse, exploiting them for political advantage and on the wrong side most of the time.

It wasn’t a universal boycott, it was some House Democrats and less then half of them. Formal boycotts are rare but it’s normal that many skip the event.

No. Even if you limit it to political divisions it dates back much further. It’s also a trivial symbolic act, nothing of real importance.

The Post jumped the gun but it isn’t part of the government.

It was rather rude and she shouldn’t have done that. Trump’s refusal to shake her hand as is customary before the speech was nearly as rude and make clear he went first on divisive that night. Though anything happening in 2020 is way to late to matter in that regards. This was a result of the partisan state of politics, not a cause.

How about when America had to endure, 3 years and over 30 million dollars spent on trying to PROVE that Trump only won because of RUSSIAN COLLUSION and NOT because America voted him in and 17 democrats did EVERYTHING in their power to PROVE that there was Russian Collusion...and came up with ZERO...?

It came up with an huge pile of things. Lots of convictions, even more fines. Multiple Trump officials had illegal dealings with Russia. Muller made clear in his conclusion that the Trump campaign welcomed Russian interference in the election. The report also specifically says it isn’t an exoneration of Trump.

If fact it uses a very bizarre legal wording. The investigation did not conclude that Trump had violated the law because Justice Department policy would forbid bringing the matter to court and thus the President would not get a chance to defend himself in court. A rather wordy way of saying that deciding if the president had broken the law was a matter for the impeachment trial and Muller would not address it directly.

Dude, I grew up Republican and became an independent at 18. I saw how the Republicans reacted to Obama. I heard from relatives what they thought if him. Don't act like the Democrats are the ones who started this divisiveness when we have Trump supporters driving around in their trucks, waving Trump 2020 flags and peppers praying people. Trump proved how unfit he was for the presidency long before his inauguration.

Dude, I’m not American in any way. I was even too young to fully care about its politics until around the time of the 2008 elections. Yet I fully oppose Trump with every fiber of my being because I genuinely consider him a threat not just for the unity of the USA, but also for the stability and peace of the entire world. He’s a moron and a lunatic, an unguided projectile with the power of dozens of nukes. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d rather torch the whole earth rather than lose the next elections.

And yes, while I know that the US was divided before Trump came to power, he still made the problem exponentially worse (by choice) in the few years he has been president. He is, objectively and without a doubt, the worst president ever.

Oh, and Trump had LOST the popular vote, you idiot. So it’s perfectly reasonable to think the elections had been tampered with.

Also the fact that the Republican party isn't even trying to hide the fact that they think making sure likely Democratic voters can't get to the polls is a legitimate campaign strategy...

Pepper-praying is a Republican tactic in which they pretend to pray on the streets but blow red pepper flakes into the eyes of passing rioters.
